DankNuggs 305 Posted April 12, 2010 Who had the most notorious/greatest and quickest dissapearance from fantasy football? We'll keep it the relatively current era...say lates 80's to current. I'll toss out some names to get things going: Cleveland Gary, Rams: Was a consensus top 5 pick around the turn of the decade in 1990, scored 15 TDs, disapeared into thin air. Neal Anderson, Bears: a 12 TD scorer, top 5 pick....gone in a couple years Barry Foster, Pit. Maybe a 3 year stretch...poof, away he goes Lorenzo White, Oilers: When run n' shoot went poof, white went poop.

throttlers 0 Posted April 12, 2010 Icky Woods - Although the Icky shuffle was kind of cool. Tommy Maddox - I guess anyone looked good after Kordell Stewart. David Tyree - 1 great catch. The Arizona Cardinals

jdon 28 Posted April 12, 2010 michael clayton... cadillac williams... koren robinson... and the winner: drew bennett!
Cara 0 Posted April 12, 2010 michael clayton... cadillac williams... koren robinson... and the winner: drew bennett! Drew Bennett should have to be the Rams Waterboy for the rest of his life. That still wouldn't make up for the a$$ raping we took by signing him as a free agent.
Corky76 2 Posted April 12, 2010 Starting in the late 80's then.... Timmy Smith - Had one hell of a Super Bowl. If I'd played ff back then he'd of likely been a definite first rd. bust the next season! Someone else mentioned Neal Anderson - As a Bears fan I'd go with the A-train though. Forte may be next in line there How 'bout the infamous Michael Jackson? My first year of ff he was coming off a 1200/14TD year and then "poof" Olandis Gary Mike Anderson Quentin Griffin I see some sort of pattern here...... FF stud in '89, decent FF RB#2in '91, the other years were just teases of what should have been for a 6'1", 255 beast of a running back....
throttlers 0 Posted April 13, 2010 I think there may be more Kordell Stewart references in this thread than he had productive drives in his NFL career.
Cara 0 Posted April 13, 2010 Alvin Harper -- When he signed with Tampa, he was projected to be a star. Jamal Anderson -- Remember when he had a great season, then tore up his knee(s) in consecutive seasons? JJ Stokes -- Never was anything, however, was taken at the top of nearly every rookie draft. Barry Word -- Haven't heard his name in a LOOOOONG time. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar -- I remember him being drafted in the second round and royally ticking people off. Jeff Blake -- I can still recall him being one of the top QB's off the board.

the bosses 0 Posted April 14, 2010 Banks was never good? He was a promising rookie in StL i remember, but did he ever put up numbers? His 'one hit' was a three game stretch in '99 where he threw for 900 yards and had 10 tds. He was on my first FF team.
