LOL, my trade of Foster for Brady for denied.....

Recommended Posts

I agree that the commish is probably the doosh here and should let the guy run his team.

But not paying and then dropping the league when the commish probably had trade reversal power is a ###### and cowardly thing to do.

Nut up and play. Don't cry me a river because your trade didn't go through. Out manage them. Beat them at their own game.

I think there are a lot of crybabies with the "I'll take my ball and go home" attitude.

Guess what: you joined the league knowing the rules. You might want to believe in the "no trade should be vetoed outside of collusion" but this is your commissioner of the league and he reversed it. Set your line-up and crack a beer and quit crying.

Commish of this league here and what you failed to mentioned is I am your supervisor was well. Thanks for the link and I respect everyone's opinion except for the one about taking a dump in a hat and putting it on my head. Rumor around the office is you're focking her but after trading Foster for Brady, it seems like you are the one who got focked. Don't worry about paying the $10 entry fee because you are going to need every penny you have after today. In the words of my greatest idol Donald Trump, "You're Fired!"

There are alot of casual leagues out there, where some owners have no clue what's going on. Some leagues don't define their rules clearly, and make things up as they go...but IMHO you should have known all of these things before you said "count me in!". Also, you should have stepped up to run your league if you think you can do it better.

The funny thing is I haven't paid for the league yet so I just told the commish to find someone to take my team.

I will send him this link to read all your opninions.

Let me know what you guys think.....

First, let me say that I agree with you concerning the trade. It sounds like this league consist of a bunch of first time players just looking for something to keep it light at work. You may be seen as a ringer and the commish see's his chance to dominate slipping away. If you want Brady make an offer with another RB. Now, as a commish of two league, this is a perfect example of how not to run a league. All dues should be paid before the draft and if you are experienced you should know this. While this league may be run by a dweeb, you committed to this league and should honor it by paying your dues and sticking with it. After all, with the obvious goofballs in the league how hard could it be for you to kickarse this year.

blah blah blah

So theres this girl in our league that has Brady. She didn't like Brady.

blah blah blah

I read through several of the responses in this thread and did not see the obligatory "Can size?" question...you guys are losing your touch...

Agreed, you have to pay. To do otherwise, breaks the man code and requires you to be puched in the face in front of your entire family and have the money taken from your pockets.

On to the commish... Douche... No reason to veto at all... None. Zero. Zilch. I don't care who got a better deal... Noone knows, it's Week 1. Week 1. Go punch him in the face in front of his family as you drop the money on his bloody groaning body.

Thanks for all your inputs.

Let me explain about the fees since you guys are all over it.

This is the 2nd year of our work league.

I was the winner last year.

I was asked several times but I didn't want to play cause I have problems with other members.

We came into an agreement and decided to play.

The commish told me I didn't have to pay until I get back from my trip to Asia.

The commish is actually a good guy.

I think hes heavily influenced by other members.

This is probably why the trade got approved and then reversed.

It all comes back this being the most absurd thing I've ever seen in all my years of playing FF.

I don't expect them to chenge their mind but I want them to see how idiotic this is.

I said before that I don't mind keeping Foster but the point is that I can't go through he whole year wondering what will be approved or not.

I play in 3 other leagues $165 each and I haven't paid my fees either.

The commish is a friend of mine and so is this commish.

Paiding the fee before hand has never been an issue.

well, unless you happen to live in an employment at will state, this post would probably be sufficient evidence for him to win an unemployment claim at the expense of your company. so if you are actually his supervisor, and you do actually try to fire him, you've just cost your company a substantial amount of money.

as for your decisions as a commisioner...well...they're a joke. the trade was grossly uneven, but the only reason to overrule a trade is collusion. so last week it wasn't collusion, and this week it is? what...did new evidence come to light or something? cutting players after multi-ways is common practice, as people rework their roster, so the kolb cut is hardly evidence (especially given his ineffectiveness and concussion on sunday). if the trade was legit before the kolb cut, it remaions legit after the cut.

the real evidence for collusion is when one team gives up competitive advantage--when someone basically quits competing by giving up high quality players in exchange for junk. are you saying that brady is junk? no, he's not worth foster (or even mathews), but he is a valuable puzzle piece for a team that is very strong at RB.

so unless you have some very compelling evidence that you're not telling us, you obviously can't tell the difference between an uneven trade and a collusive one.

Respectfully, I'll never open up another trade revoked or A-hole commissioner post on this board again. Dude, if you can't deal with this situation without asking for help from virtual strangers here then you have a lot worse problems in these days and times than losing out on Tom Terrific...

The only time it's an issue, is when you refuse to pay it.

On top of that, Brady is injury prone.......

Really?

Since 2001 game 3, how many games has he missed entirely BESIDES the 2008 season where his knee was devastated by a cheap hit in game 1?

............crickets.................

Bad commish.

If we held the draft today, Foster is the 5th pick at worst. Brady is still a 2nd rounder. If anything, it's unfair in the other direction.

I drafted in a league last night. It is a league where a group of people from various leagues get together and draft after the first week of the season. It works because we don't get stuck with injuries to star players nearly as often. Anyway, last night Brady went in the mid third round and Foster went in the late second.

I think if you look at both overall rosters, this trade was certainly fair. The issue the Commish may have is you are deep at RB, and now you have a top 5 QB too.

Foster is fair for Brady? Really?

Foster had ONE good game in his short lived career, Brady has done it for years and will be a stallion this year.

Get Real Chumly

Not really the point...

"Get Real Chumley"???? You must be loads of fun at parties!

Commish is a tool. Kolb was not a principal in the trade - no grounds to reverse the trade

Combining you, this girl and the commish, I can say without hesitation this sounds like the worst league on earth.

tell the commish to go shit in a hat

1) only collusion is a reason to veto a trade

3) golfreak is annoying

HTH.

My trade for Brees - Welker in a PPR got denied.

I'm so sick of leagues that revoke trades without collusion
