Did you ever accidentally start drinking?

I just got home from work (left early due to inclement weather), went to get myself a diet Dr. Pepper, put the ice in the glass, poured some Captain in it, and then my soda. It took me a few minutes after I started drinking it to realize that I didn't mean to make myself an alcoholic beverage. I really just wanted a soda.

 

So now it's before 5:00 pm and I'm drinking.

 

Have you ever done this? Should I worry about pouring myself drinks on auto-pilot?

I've done this, but never with a mixed alcoholic drink. Most times, I'll just come home from work, walk to the fridge, get a beer and open it, and it's half gone before I realize what I'm doing.

 

Don't fight it. It's gonna happen anyway, so just go with it.

Yea.... I'll just go with it. I'm on number 2 right now. I'm probably not going to work tomorrow because we're supposed to get a foot of snow so it's not the end of the world.
