robb 81 Posted June 10, 2011 Two receivers at the bend here, one to "make up" for the Britt pick. I am not "excited" about Thomas, not sure the situation in Jacsonville, beu if he becomes thier #1, then he could put up some points. Maybe not the TDs, just depends how they use him. Mike Williams of Seattle....again, high potential, and I believe he is their #1 receiver on the team. Not sure who will be throwing him the rock yet, but Williams has the skills to be a good #3 wide receiver on my team, maybe even as a #4 WR on the team. The nice thing about the league in recent years is that it seems rather easy to find a strong WR late.....you made up for any potential issues with Britt.... I was about to post in the 7th round discussion how much I hated you for taking BMW... but then I figured, ok no big deal I'll just look for Thomas in the 8th instead. BAM!!!! I hate you with the intensity of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 suns
remote controller 143 Posted June 10, 2011 The Lions offense will be much better this year if they can keep all of their parts. Leshoure will handle the goaline duities immediately and be the power back, leaving the flash to Best. He is also a very good pass blocker and can easily expand his role if Best has anymore troubles with injury.

How could you take my post as anything but a compliment I usually don't like to give other drafters the satisfaction of knowing that they got my guys but two on the turn warranted notice. Dan 66 Posted June 10, 2011 Mike - Austin Collie was chosen in the 6th round.
Mike FF Today 723 Posted June 10, 2011 Mike - Austin Collie was chosen in the 6th round. My bad. New pick for Matt's Eagles is the other Steve Smith. Matt's hoping one of those guys produces.
remote controller 143 Posted June 10, 2011 I think your patience paid off Dan. I really like Freeman. Kids a winner! Hopefully that will translate into fantasy production.
ICEMAN 44 Posted June 10, 2011 I think your patience paid off Dan. I really like Freeman. Kids a winner! Hopefully that will translate into fantasy production. I agree. All you have to do is watch that kid and you can tell that he gets it. He's a leader and a winner. ICEMAN
Dan 66 Posted June 10, 2011 I think your patience paid off Dan. I really like Freeman. Kids a winner! Hopefully that will translate into fantasy production. I like him enough to own him in all three of my dynasty leagues. I figured that Roethlisberger would get taken, and I was okay with that, so long as Freeman fell. I'm not chancing that White Wonder likes him, as well. Thanks for the affirmation. I really like where my team is heading . . .
Jeepz 0 Posted June 10, 2011 I'll be honest with you, I'm floundering a bit right now. Again not ONE of the WRs I expected to be here was available, and because I got pulled away at work and came back to my pick (for 2 hours, sorry guys) I felt the need to just pull the trigger on something. I think Tolbert could be a fine RB3, totally depends on if Mathews really pulls together, but this wasn't a well thought out pick. Damn.

Jeepz 0 Posted June 10, 2011 I feel Tolbert is a shoe in for 10 Td's even IF Mattehews gets it going. And this is what I'm hanging my hat on with this pick. I say floundering only because I was so not expecting to take an RB here, and scrambled with some quick looking around, but I'm happy enough with the pick not to have any buyer's remorse. Now I just need to regroup and see where things are this evening.
WhiteWonder 2,732 Posted June 10, 2011 I love when things fall just as I planned. I'll admit it was a huge risk, especially with guys grabbing backups already. In this format with no penalty for turnovers, little manning will outscore more than half the qb's already taken. Last year he scored very close to Brady in this format. He comes off a 4000 and 31 year and has plenty of weapons, including a guy drafted as a top 5 WR in this draft. Best kept secret
WhiteWonder 2,732 Posted June 10, 2011 ill need few minutes as i just got hoime and the rest of my board was more or less picked clean. round 9 pick coming shortly
JScott 20 Posted June 10, 2011 Nice pick WW. Eli is always undervalued and a good starting ff QB. He carried me to a championship in Dungeon last year.

I really like where my team is heading . . . for what its worth Dan, i do like him. and would have selected him if Eli was off the board. He was number 2 on my list. But id still have gone Eli over him if presented with both so you might have been able to wait until round 9? Then again Vikes took his 2nd QB so who knows. also, the player i thought i had you on a few rounds ago was Big Ben. I thought he represented great value that round. WhiteWonder 2,732 Posted June 11, 2011 I feel Tolbert is a shoe in for 10 Td's even IF Mattehews gets it going. i dont see it. Tolbert had 10 last year in a season where Ryan Mathews was absent for nearly all of it. people point to Mathews totals but much of it came in week 17. if Mathews is markedly better in 2011, No way Tolbert replicates 10 td's. thats not to say he wasnt a solid pick. he could put up brandon jacobs numbers. I looked at it wrong and thought he had 3 receiving TD's to go along with 11 rushing. He actually ended up just shy of 951 yards and 11 TD's, all on the ground. He will get every short yardage dive at the endzone, and this offense will produce more. I think the 10 TD's is doable! I just looked.....he had the 3 receiving TD's in 2009. If Matthews picks it up, I still feel Tolberts role will be huge, especially in scoring situations.
