The preselect feature is there to prevent you from getting skipped if you are asleep or away from the computer and also helps to speed up the draft. Everybody should know how to use it. Learning to use preselect will have another side benefit in that angry arms and hands won't materialize out from Go Colts computer monitor to strangle him.

Still Go Colts does have sort of have a valid point since you're new and this is your first draft. If you are have plenty of computer access and it's your turn coming up, maybe don't use. We all would understand if you pause a bit and do some research on the available players. Ask for advice. The absolute worst place to go for advice is from any person who will be picking soon after you do.

 

If you go to work and can't get online, sleep, out with friends... you'll want to learn how to use it. It'll cover you.

 

What I do is I count how many people are ahead of me. If it's five, then I go and I put my five favorite players for this pick in there and rank them. If you pick close to a corner (spots 1, 2,3, 10, 11, 12) you may want to put in a pick for two rounds. Once your pick is gone in the earlier round, it doesn't carry over to the next one. Each round is entered independently.

I think the reason you won't win is that you prefer using the early-mid rounds to take backup RBs to ride the bench rather than taking starting WRs and TEs and then later having to settle from combing over the dregs later and pretend LaFell is a legitimate flex WR.

I just set up the draft site. That's all. I don't set the draft order, I don't know any more what the scoring system or starting roster requirements are than anybody else. Personally, I would not approve backing up the draft to change picks in leagues where I commish, but I'd be happy to do so if I knew that TBBOM was fine with it.

So FML...i been eyeing backup QBs the last couple of rounds and finally i thought here in the 11th round i'd grab one the two i was most likely going to take both have the same bye week as my starter. Spectacular planning there sc. So now im left with Two rookies, Wilson and Locker, Alex Smith, Sam Bradford and Tim Tebow? Oh and Josh Freeman who i wouldnt draft if you guys paid me to.
