If you could, would you trade Ray Rice for Megatron to match with AJ Green ?

Recommended Posts

If I decide to trade Rice for a stud WR and I cant get Mega, is there another one you would go for ?

I am only considering this because you can truly wait on a QB... so I could draft 4 RB's in a row, rounds 3 thru 6 and get a QB in the 7th. I still think Ray will do great this year despite sharing with Pierce, Boldin will be gone and Rice may catch 70 or 80 balls. really thinking about dumping him just before he loses value like the following year. After having 2 super stud WR's I can wait and scoop up a bunch of High Upside wr's late and a TE. Am I over thinking ? should I just stick with Rice and AJ Green ?

Rice and Green. You have studs anchoring both positions. You don't need 2 stud WR's. You need one stud and one productive guy.

I feel dumber for having responded to this post.

I think you sell Rice for Megatron, and then be happy when Rice disappoints another owner. If you want to then trade Megatron for a stud RB you are free to do so. Maybe not for AP but I saw plenty of stud RBs go after Johnson.

I'm not big on Rice going into this season and I would try to move him. Can you trade him for Harvin and a extra pick maybe a 4th rounder?

Sorry that you feel dumb answering this question... but the facts are that there will be some good upside RB's in rounds 3 through 6. With 2 stud WR's I can grab many RB's mid rounds and hope that 2 will pop. As I said earlier I could grab a # 1 QB as late as the 7th round then scoop up a bunch of high upside WR's late... we start 3 WR's. The point of the thread is knowing when to let go of studs before they have little value. I do believe Rice will still be one of the top RB's this year, but he has to decline next year. I have been pretty successful over the years doing it... with LT, SA, LJ. Besides having the top 2 WR's in ppr would be huge, in the 3rd on down there will be guys like Murry, Dmac, Bush, Wilson, Ball, Bell, Sproles, Ivory, Bradshaw, Mathews, Mendy. Surely if I grab say 3 of those guys along with some of their handcuffs I should be fine. Worst case scenario I can trade a stud wr for a stud rb.

I did have mega as a keeper before and let him go after an injured season.... bit worried again, I think it was his ankles

In a PPR yes. I'm not to high on Rice because he might get less touches and I got tired of them pulling him out in the red zone last year. I'm keeping Dez Bryant over him this year and I've had Rice every since he's been in the League.

I would trade Rice for megatron for sure. Then you have arguably the two best WR's to plug in every week minus their byes and you should outscore every other team at that position by a ton. If you can hit on a few decent RB's in round 3-10 and get a solid QB and TE....your team should be very tough to beat and a contender in the playoffs. Plus, there is a chance that Rice might be somewhat of a bust this year and there is less risk of that with Megatron.

I've done very well with the twin stud WR. I've been top 2 scorer overall with this setup.
