Frozenbeernuts 2,264 Posted June 7, 2014 Well if ADP is any indicator of value Kutulu sure got a hell of a deal on Sproles who is currently going in the 6th round in ppr leagues. I was surprised to still see him there and even though wasn't planning on drafting him I was warming up to the value I would be getting. If Shady goes down you have a ppr stud. Of course I drafted the out of Bryce Brown and Bernard Pierce without anything in return. There is also a Hollywood casino about 5 mins from the house. I have been to the Horseshoe and Majestic over in Indiana. Funny story: Me and my buddy decide to drive out to Majestic in Indiana since they had open poker tables and Joliet casinos didn't. We sign up for a table and the first two open spots end up at the same table. Well we made an agreement not to undercut each other betting on pots. If I was betting big he wasn't going to be the one to keep pushing me. Well I flop a straight right off the bat. I play more aggressive than he does and he hates when I keep betting on pots so when I bet pre flop I could already see the look of annoyance on his face. So once i have the straight I bet $20. Three callers including my buddy along with him really giving me the stink eye. I knew he had top pair on the board and was really hoping he would fold. Turn and river come without anything that could threaten my straight. Of course I kept betting on each card until everyone finally folded on the river. I ended up winning about $180 on the hand. Well as soon as he folds he looks at me and says out loud "I thought we weren't going to undercut each other." My heart jumped into my chest. Some other dude at the table says "These guys are cheating!" I blew off the comment and luckily the dude dropped it. I couldn't believe my buddy. When we left and got to the parking lot I was so pissed. I asked him wtf was the matter with him and then said "You had top pair on that hand didn't you." "Yeah" "I had a focking straight! Majestic is a hole in the wall rats nest that smells like hot garbage - why in the hell would you go there over Horseshoe which is 100X nicer. I think I was in there a long time agp for like 10 minutes before we left. Horseshoe has the Best Poker room in the midwest - if you like Poker you should try and play there. I wish Rivers had Poker - sucks ass as Rivers is the Nicest Casino around (the midwest) al be it smallish -- I love being minutes from Rosemont - it's literally like a Mini version of downtown Chicago - has all the resturants , clubs, and such and none of the hassle. Marvin Jones is a guy im fairly high on this year based on his value. His TD numbers were skewed last season but I think Hue Jackson is going to be good for him. He should be the clear #2 this year where as he was splitting time most of last season. Playing opposite AJ Green is nice too and the offense as a whole is all young guys growing together. Little Ray Ray has to be suspended 3 or 4 games right? even if not he looked cooked. Probably all those carries he had at Rutgers added on to his pro workload. Hes 28 but probably has the mileage of 30+. My RB situation is less than ideal but I think workable in our format. Pierce is coming off injury but I have hope for him. I just like knowing i can roll it back down to $10 if cards are cold. i usually start out with some minimum bets and if its going well, i'll up my bets to 20 and if it keeps going well and i havn't seen many face cards for a while i might toss in a larger 50+ bet or something for the hell of it. if you just bet the minimum the whole time you're at the table and if you stay long enough, you're going to lose. have to make your $ on double downs, splits and well timed bigger bets.
