Traded Demacro Murray and Desean Jackson for Doug Martin and Keenan Allen. Good Trade?

Recommended Posts

Traded Desean and Demarco for Keenan Allen and Doug martin. Standard Yahoo League. 2rb 2wr 1 flex. I feel Martin will put up closer numbers to Murray than people think and Allen is a stud. I wouldn't have played Jackson so I look at it as a 2 for 1 deal.

Other Rb. are Lacy and Ryan Matthews

Other WR is Cobb with torry smith and Emmanual Sanders on bench.

I normally like to get the highest rated player in a trade so I hope I come out on top. Just wanted feedback. I couldn't pass up getting who I think will be a top 10 WR and an improved Martin with the Logan Mankins trade.

I think you hurt yourself, considering your other players. I think Lacy, Murray, Cobb and either Smith/Emmanuel would have been an imposing 4. I like less having Martin in there, and I don't think that Allen will outperform Smith or Emmanuel by enough to have made up the difference.

I like the players you traded away more then the ones you received .

Thanks for the responses. I will post on other board next time as I now know that this isn't the one for trade talk. I agree with you IMMensaMind and that was my hesitation but I'm bullish on allen and think he can make up the diffrence while giving me a little more flexability with my roster as I believe I can roll Allen and Cobb out almost every week as well as my three running backs instead of trying to play matchup with my WR2. I also live in Central Florida and try and stay away from Bucs players as they are my favorite team and I don't want my fandom to influence my decisions. With that said, Jeff Tedford has shown nothing of the offense thay are going to run. Martin is going to be much more of a receiving threat and ASJ will be alot more involved in the game plan than people outside Tampa realize. The Tim Wright trade almost guarentees ASJ having a monster year. In practice they split ASJ out wide in the slot ALOT and try and create a mismatch for either him or Martin. Hopefully everyone stays healthy and has a good year.

Thanks

I like the players you got. Take muscle hamster over man of class anytime.Jackson isnt going to be as good as Allen. Garcon is the one to own in Wash if any of them and Im not sold on RG3 anyway

Great trade for you. Demarco Murray is horrible beyond belief.

Then why was he the 6th best fantasy rb last year? And that was missing 2 games.

Huh? On a ppg basis, he's in the top 6 for a few years now. When he's on the field, he's a RB1. It isn't like Martin has been on the field either and his offensive line flat out blows. The comment makes zero sense.

No way I get rid of Murray, I'll take my chances he plays all 16 games. I think he ends up the top FF rb this year
