Jay Cutler

Recommended Posts

Whatever "it" is, the guy just doesn't have "it". Some guys are leaders, gamers, best when under pressure.....this guy has none of the above. Not a bears fan, but watched the second half today, folded like a cheap suit!

He's been an excellent value pick for me this season. Don't really care that he can't win games, as long as he's scoring TDs.

Ya, how the fock doesn't everybody get that regardless of the player or outcome of the game?

I drafted Cutler in lots of leagues, but I want to share with you the comments of Jim McMahon, who I was lucky enough to hang out with at the Ray Rice marital bliss casino formerly known as Revel. True story.

McMahon is throwing dice, rolling well, talking some smack with the other players, including my buddy, who is a rabid Packers fan. I'm just taking it all in from the sidelines, when I chime in and say something like, "Jim, you do really feel good about Cutler? Is really worth all that guap?" McMahon put his beer down, took a deep breath, and said, "look, when you're the only person who has ever called your 'The Great Humongous,' it's time to buy a new ruler."

Cutler will never be great, in the pants or on the field.

Like I said . Not a starter in fantasy football .

Not sure what you guys are bitchin about. Cutler has averaged 24 points a game in my league and scored enough to make him a top 5 at his position. I will take that anyday.

extra points for 40plus yard plays but still he has been more than servicable in standard leagues.

I need to see the scoring in that league

He's top 5 in several of my leagues as well.

Are you playing in a -6 pts for int league?

OP seems more complaining about actual football rather than FF.

He is great in FF this year as long as he stays healthy.

As a Bears homer I have watched Cutler with increasing concern. He just doesn't seem to 'get' it - and his body language on the field is like a petulant child. Trestman has been good for Jay, but Jay is still killing us with turnovers and bad decision making. Gotta wonder if its true - Michael Wilbon summed it up well in this tweet yesterday:

A former teammate of Cutler's has told me each of the last four seasons: "The Bears are NEVER going to win with Jay at QB..."

Will Jay Cutler ever lead the Bears to the Super Bowl.....probably not. I totally agree with the OP, he doesn't have the "it" factor. Does Jay Cutler have the "it" factor to lead a fantasy team to their Super Bowl....probably does. Guys a crybaby and douche and folds when the pressure is on. Cutler, Romo, Rivers, guys are very good QB's that are just missing something in real football. For whatever reason they just aren't guys you can rely on to win a Super Bowl. Fantasy wise though, it's fine to roll with either one.

For fantasy he is great this season. He is 4th in my league behind only Luck, Rivers and Ryan. I got Cutler in the 8th round. :music_guitarred: 18, 26, 16, 17, 22. I'll take those numbers for a fringe guy all day long.

Might be the first time he has "it" in him to make it deep enough into the season to deliver for an FF team. Getting the ball out quicker is helping for sure. Any more injuries to their OL though can end that quick.

I've been telling that to Bears fans ever since the trade, the guy is a couple steps up from Jeff George. He's pretty good for fantasy but I just don't ever see him taking the Bears deep into the playoffs.
