State Dept. releases Clinton emails, classifies some details related to Benghazi

So you think the path to a republican victory in 2016 is to nominate a true conservative in a country where gay marriage and marijuana are quickly becoming legal throughout the country? You're dreaming.

Anyone who hangs their hat on those two issues is a complete moron. I think even the staunchest conservative has to recognize that.

I can't imagine any Republican coming out if the primary who supports gay marriage or decriminalizing pot. I also can't see a Rep who is pro choice, believes in MMGW or is anything short of a hawk on foreign policy.

Demographics have turned sharply against the party the past 10-15 years. The GOP will catch up but right now the teabagger / neocon / evangelical wing exerts too much influence on the party and they're going to wreck some otherwise decent options.

The gay marriage and pot issue is dumb, along with being anti abortion. Leave that to the states. Worry about federal stuff, don't get caught up in the petty bullshit and they'll be an electable candidate.

The GOP didn't think gay marriage was a meaningless issue 10 years ago when they were using it as a wedge issue in states like Ohio. I think the teabagger / moonbat wing if the GOP is going to have a hard time letting some of these issues go.

Those folks are going to have their issues, but they're going to vote repub anyway. They'll have to appeal to the 60% of the population that doesn't vote. The extremes on both sides are retarded, have to go after the non-retarded vote.

Gerrymandering forthe house, and a bunch of low population states who for some reason still get 2 senators.

Not a perfect document that is over 200 years old. It's been amended a few times, FYI

Glass half full for you is them getting ass ponded the last two national elections for president. Glass half full for them is ass ponded to you in house, senate, and governorships that fill their way. I'd rather a glass of bourbon filled with the house, senate, and governorships than a glass filled less. House Senate Goverorships>Lame Duck

Didn't say there was gerrymandering for the senate, I said that low population states still get 2 senators. I didn't mention anything about Governers. Try some reading comprehension hoveroundor.

You should start a thread stating that. Remember how good that worked out for you last time?

The populist vote was never enough to help William Jennings Bryan win the presidency. He did consistently win Louisiana and the other irrelevant states all three times though.

The origin reason why each state received two senators was to assure those that joined the United States that they would have a say in the governments affairs and not be run roughshod over by the more populous states, seeing as they would have less representation in the house because that is based on population, and were unlikely to win the general election for president. It was a sweetener to make sure the agricultural states didn't feel like they would be underrepresented.

And in kind, we woke up to the federalist trying to force the south to seede us to withdraw all manufacurationg jobs and force us to feed the nation while the north took over the steal mills and made the south feed and cloth the nation,

The southern states could have existed without the north. The same cannot be said otherwise. And that holds today. True.

The Mississippi River and the Gulf States hold this country together. To say otherwise, is retarded. If we don't exist, neither do you.

You should look up what states are taker states and what states are maker states. Most states in the north and California give more in federal taxes and get back less than many of the other states. Most states receive more in federal revenue than they contribute. Look it up and then tell me who can live without who.

For every dollar New York sends to Washington it gets back 58 cents. For every dollar Louisiana sends they get back $1.37. You're welcome for your stop sign and hospital.

It's stoopid fawks like you that have no idea about where the majority of our energy comes from. The Gulf if Mexico and the Missississipi River aid in both giving us it , and supplying it to the country. Without us, it doesn't Fawking work on any level you Fawking moron. Without the port leading up, you would stand still.

Oil, natural gas, ports, refineries, and a myriad of other ways and means that begin here and work there way up to you fuel this country. It starts here stoopid fawk! Close the Mississippi River down, the Gulf, and all the areas behind the Mason-Dixon Line and let's see how well the north does. The Mississipi River is the artery that drives this country. To say different, is retarded.

Please try and say otherwise. I need a punching bag.

Did you know, I say or ask that because I know you're to Fawking stoopid to know and it's fun on my part to ask or insulate, the majority of natural gas and oil that supply's our countries economy finds it's way through southern Louisiana? It's estimated that 60% of all natural gas and 40% of all oil is either refined or shipped through us here and distributed amongst the US fromi a state without a population that deserves two senators, according to you.

Id's say we deserve a seat at the table, or two, considering our contributions. And dumb fawks like you to understand that. Not counting my breath.

New Jersey has a refinery too. The Missisippi is no where near it. Why so much poverty in the Gulf states?
