KSB2424 3,148 Posted July 11, 2015 Squid for sure. I can take down an entire plate of calamari in a heartbeat.
Giants Fan 85 Posted July 11, 2015 Meh. We ain't playin chess. Yeah but, against the shark, you fight back ... it's not gonna understand what you are doing to counter it. The squid .... i dunno how you even fight back, I would prolly bite it.
penultimatestraw 473 Posted July 11, 2015 Also of interest, while, the human body could likely never withstand the velocity required to travel at near light speeds, getting too close to a star, the gravity would crush us,,invertebrates like cephalopods could possibly survive some, really heavy g forces. They may be the greatest hope for the planet Earth, in a post Earth world.

Anything would die from getting TOO close to a star.

No,,no,no ... you don't understand. If you are traveling near a heavy red dwarf star,,with a lot of gravity, at say, 1000 MPH, and you are obviously far enough away to not burn up, the gravity from that star, spread over time is not gonna hurt you. At the same distance, traveling near the speed of light,,you would be flattned to a pancake for a split second. An octopus could potentialy withstand this. A human being could not. MDC 7,296 Posted July 12, 2015 Assuming this is an actual attack and we're not calling this an encounter in the water you've got to go great white. All you've got to worry about is the mouth and there's always a chance you can punch it in the snout or take the gills / eyes and dissuade it. The squid has hooked "teeth" in every sucker so it would tear you up just grabbing you. I'm not sure how you could even fight back? So yeah, great white. But either way you're likely focked.
