Kent 228 Posted October 16, 2015 Coleman (except for the fumble) was having a great game based on his usage. If you didn't know any better you'd think it was Freeman running on those Coleman runs. Not to dismiss Freeman but I think this is one of those situations (good line with great scheme, STUD WR on the outside, etc) where you can put almost any RB back there and he would be a RB1. If you own Freeman then Coleman is a must add. If you have roster space, Coleman is a must add. I think it's the run blocking. Massive holes every 3rd run play. Just massive. jrbdmb 28 Posted October 16, 2015 I agree he is a good hold if your roster can spare the room. Another big game by freeman could mean Coleman only gets playing time in the event of an injury. That certainly looks like the case now. Coleman's value now appears to be entirely as a handcuff.

tanatastic 2,062 Posted October 16, 2015 Im looking to pick up Coleman next week I think he can get more playing time . No. Just no. Not even a little bit. This parallell to the Mike Vick/Kolb saga from 2010. Kolb gets hurt, Vivk plays great, Andy cant stop the train so keeps Vick in who goes on to have a near MVP season. Tevins time as even a split time RB is done, hes change of pace only. However, Tevin is the premier handcuff in the league id say. A must own for the Freeman owner. Im running as fast as I can to get my claim in for him if hes dropped and I own Freeman.

I grabbed Coleman where I have Freeman with exactly this in mind. Coleman does look good, no doubt. But you don't slow down 9 TDs in four weeks, along with a ton of ground and air yards. No way. Freeman goes down, sure, Coleman slots right in. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let my star-spangled season go down if Freeman goes down. That Falcon line is pretty damn good. Right now, when my bad bye weeks hit, I'm planning on dropping Matt Jones over Coleman if I have to drop someone. But not because I see him getting carries if Freeman is still healthy. TennisMenace 156 Posted October 17, 2015 Well, I finally said enough is enough. I cut Coleman to pick up Matt Jones. My gut tells me Matt is going to be a horse down the stretch as Skins move away from Alf who is playing his last few games as a Skin this year. I may not need Matt because I now have good runners, but just in case.
weepaws 3,197 Posted October 17, 2015 Think Matt Jones is a good pick up for keeper league , but if it's a redraft league I would have kept Coleman . It's a worst situation with the Redskins Rbbc than with the Falcons .
TennisMenace 156 Posted October 17, 2015 Hey paws, I'm thinking Wash will make their move toward their horse for next year and part ways with Alf after game 10 or so, especially if losing. I hope so anyways.

I hope so anyways. Will they are going to lose , but even if they do give more playing time to Jones where is he going to go . In the passing game they now use Thompson , and in Jones last three games he has two targets in the passing game and the Redskins have shown that they can't run the ball . Since Jones only big game he has avg 2.3 yards per carry with one td and two targets in the passing game , if and when Coleman starts get more reps with the Falcons his upside is going to be greater going forward the rest of this season . For next season in a keeper league I would go get Jones but not for this season .
