No, we've been here kicking your ass the whole time.

By not answering a question? You can't hit a shot you don't take. It's ok, logic and reason are too scientific for some people to handle. They prefer a fantasy world.

I never said THAT was celebrating it per se. If you notice after that statement there was an "and". HTH

Celebrating Transgender is holding parades and shiit.

Pretending Transgenders aren't unique and create issues when it comes to things like public bathrooms and showers as well as competive sports is lunacy.

Sorry Frank. People are different. And that's okay. Transgenders are different and have a unique situation that presents them certain challenges in small, and rather trivial, areas like where to pee in public. They need to deal with it.

There are people scared of heights in this country, it came natural to them. Should we A. Require all buildings not to be built over three stories to make those .03% of people feel okay? Or should B. Those people just have to deal with their unique situation and work around it?

I think B is most reasonable.

You know what, KSB, you're right. I think we should make laws to make sure that the small percentage of people who are terrified at the infinitesimal chance that their daughter might see a p3nis in the bathroom feel okay.

If there was no big deal, according to you, in Jan 2016 about who peed where.....Why were Republican state legislatures drafting bills to address it?

You're not going to get an argument from me that HB2 wasn't an over-reaction. The state should have taken its time and done a better job. I think the bill simply should have negated the Charlotte ordinance alone and been done with it. But they over reacted and put in other stuff. No argument.

My point is that for some reason people think the Republicans in NC just up and created HB2 out of the blue when it was in fact a REACTION (probably an over reaction) to the Liberal Charlotte gov't creating this issue in my state to begin with. If it was up to me I'd get rid of Obama's letter, I'd get rid of HB2 and I get rid of the Charlotte ordinance and go back to January 2016. Which gets all forms of governments at all levels out of bathrooms all together in my state.

Well, I asked if a 14 year old can decide which sex they want to be, why can't they then get a sex change operation? Nobody has answered that yet.

I would assume for hormonal reasons. Maybe they believe that the human body couldn't handle the reversal at such a young age. :dunno:

Oh, so their body hasn't matured yet, but their instincts and ability to reason have fully evolved. But what about a 16 year old who could handle the hormonal change? Surely, science can figure out if they could handle it, right?

The same reason they can't get a tattoo. Your strawmans are worn out, friend. Move along.

Because a 14 year old can't consent to an operation of any kind.

Why, because they are too young to make such a big decision? Maybe they're too young to decide what sex they are too. Just a thought

What's the reason then? Too young for such a decision? Strawman? It's a legit question. The gender someone wants to be is a big decision, and as a society, we don't let children make big decisions. Why are we letting children make this one?

Maybe you should put together a chart that describes the appropriate age for people to "decide" if they're transgendered or gay or straight or any of a myriad states of being.

By the way, when did you decide that you were straight?

After high school seems appropriate to me.

Few states, including California, allow minors (people under 18) to obtain an abortion without parental consent or notification.

Well, except for abortion in some states. They allow minors to do that.

I'm assuming all the states that do not... hate women though.

You should start another thread. I'll be happy to discuss why minors might need access to an abortion provider yet still be too young to consent to a sex change.

I showed you where that is not correct and a 14 year old in some states can consent to an operation (abortion).

That's all. :)

Science!

American Society has made an arbitrary age at which one is old enough to make adult decisions. That age is 18. That may be young for some or old for others as all people mature differently but laws have to use the mean, or the medium so that it encompasses the most people as possible.

Before 18 you can't make other adult decisions like drink a beer, smoke a cigarette, consent to sex with another adult of a certain age, serve your country so on and so forth. Yet somehow you are old enough to decide to get an abortion or that you are a different sex.

Those last two are huge adult decisions. Are they not?

Count me in the group that think parents who advocate and support little kids and young pre-teens into transgender as borderline child abuse.

Count me in the group that think being trangender (or gay, or straight )is a state of being and not a decision.

I also would not encourage supporting little children to act like the opposite sex, either. Teenagers, however, know what they are.

How does a 13 year old know such things? My junk got hard just standing around. They are just starting out and aren't fully formed yet. Good thing we don't let them make life altering decisions. Until now.

13 is seventh grade, not after high school. And I knew I was straight at that age. So did you, because it wasn't a decision, it was who you are.

And there you go again. You and I aren't everyone. It takes going through adolescence to figure things out, and you shouldn't be making huge decisions while that process is taking place. I guess we can start trying all juvenile criminals as adults now too? Mature enough to realize what sex you are but not mature enough to know right from wrong?

what you are attracted too is one thing, wanting to self mutilate is another story. If you were told from 5 yrs old that its ok to be a girl, it could have been different

It's not a decision to be transgender, just like it wasn't a decision for you to be straight, no matter how much you lie about it.

Would you be transgendered now if someone had told you when you were young that it's okay to be transgendered?

And the actual percentage of transgenders that want a sex change operation is small.

who knows, my Dad's mom after 2 boys wanted a girl so bad, that she dressed him up like a little girl when he was a kid. He grew up ridiculed, teased and in therapy, thankfully he got help as a teen, and ended up being 6'4 220 lbs by the time he was 14. He wasn't born that way, but he could have easily become that. He spent years in and out of therapy all steaming from his childhood, and eventually was checked into a mental institution in his 60's for borderline pschizophrenia and bi-polar. He was literally 2 different people during his phases.

now try to tell me thats something he was born with
