ROME — A paramedic who rushed James Gandolfini to hospital after the actor suffered a massive heart attack has been accused of being even more ruthless than Tony Soprano.
Claudio Bevilacqua, 43, went on trial on Monday for allegedly snatching "The Sopranos" star's $3000 Rolex Submariner watch as he laid dying in June 2013.
It is still unclear whether the watch vanished from Gandolfini's room in the Boscolo Exedra Hotel in Rome, Italy, or whether the actor was wearing it when he collapsed.
Bevilacqua was not present in court Monday for the case's first hearing, which lasted only a few minutes.
The judge postponed the start of the trial until November.

Happens often. Had a case where this dude's estate was convinced someone had stolen a bunch of cash and a wallet off the dead guy. Cops thought they were completely full of sh1t 'til a paramedic copped to it under questioning from a freaking civil attorney. Boy were those cops' faces red.

During the police lineup the suspect was easy to spot as he was the only one who knew what time it was.

Fock it. The watch was ticking and the heart wasn't. Dude didn't need the watch anymore.

Imagine the cops disappointment on the scene when the paramedic beat him to the wallet

You can get one for 7-8k   . Some are easily available others aren’t and command these crazy prices . Datejusts and Day-Dates are a dime a dozen. Certain Daytonas take years on vip waitlists plus the insane prices on the chart . I like watches but refuse to play the Rolex game
