Is there anyone after round 3/4 you think will produce like a 1st?

Rotoworld is good for screwing up your season if you listen to their analysis.

Coach Bruce Arians indicated David Johnson will be the odd man out in the Cardinals' running back corps moving forward.

Chris Johnson has been anointed Arizona's lead back, while a now-healthy Andre Ellington is likely to take over David Johnson's old "nickel back" role. "It’s not hard, because the young guy sits," Arians said, referring to David. We wouldn't bet against David Johnson making noise later this season, but for now he's on the fringe of roster worthy and droppable in 12-team leagues. At least, until Ellington gets injured again.

I blame arians for being a thick headed clown and not playing his best players more. I had DJ in a league and by week 3 knew he would be an RB2 by years end. Couldnt trade him for a bag of beans though after he couldnt get playing time. When someone is declared the odd man out, its hard for publications to endorse them based on future prospects alone.

Don't see Forte making it .

Jets seem to want to really work on a RBBC approach .

I think itll work out in his favor. Hes getting older so Im sure his knees are getting weaker. Having some RBBC will benefit him and take the pressure. I think he outperforms his draft stock

i don't , I think it's to high for him , going into the situation he his going into .

Looks like his ADP in ppr is around 13 I like more as a middle Rb 2 , so a little lower than most .

There's nowhere that Forte is going 13th overall.

Besides, don't you not use ADP?

No I don't , but many on here do so I'm trying to adjust .

It helps to communicate with others on this board .

I was giving two sites to check out ADP and both of them have him ranked 13 th in ppr .. Sorry if I'm wrong I don't use others ADP so I was just checking them out .

One of the I found of this site , it has him listed at 13 in ppr .

Also sorry I was taking about his Rb ranking .

That's why I see him as a Middle Rb two lower than most , from what I see .

You have a lot of learning to do when it comes to ffball. Adp isn't just useful when talking at this site. It's also useful to have at least an idea of where other owners are taking players. It's all about maximizing how many of your top guys you can get in a draft. At least it seems like you are understanding how things work a little better than last year.

I don't use others ADP and it as worked fine for me doing my own rankings .

If it works for you and others to use them I think that's great , we all need to have faith in something .

I'm using them just to communicate with others here .

You can't produce your own luck no matter how much someone looks at an ADP .

You either hit or miss .

Josh Ferguson (RB, IND) is one I'm watching, has a chance to be Thomas Rawls 2.0.

Nice deep sleeper. I suspect he doesn't even have a current ADP. Could be a nice late round flier.

Ryan Matthews is very valuable at his current ADP

I'd rather take a flier on Barner or Smallwood. Mathews was mediocre in the passing game last season, both as a blocker and with his stone hands. He's a 2 down back..for the five or six games he'll be healthy in.

Does Mathews have "stone hands"??? He caught 71% of his targets, similar to the rate of Jamaal Charles. Meanwhile, his pass-catching specialist teammate, Sproles converted 66% of targets...

Perhaps......and I have historically avoided him like the plague. However, he finally has value (6th rounder), with RB1 upside. Health is concerning, but tricky to predict. Unless his ADP rises dramatically before draft time, I am buying. Here is an outlook that Silva posted on Roto:

Although beat writers seem convinced the Philly backfield will become a committee, Ryan Mathews will enter camp as the lead back in an offense that will likely strive for balance based on Pederson's track record and a potentially volatile quarterback situation. Long an efficient runner whose main flaw has been durability, Mathews has a career yards-per-carry average of 4.47 and posted a career-best 5.04 YPC last year, suggesting he has lots of gas in the tank going on age 29. Mathews is slightly less appealing in PPR leagues, where pass-game specialist Darren Sproles and versatile rookie Wendell Smallwood cap his ceiling. Even so, Mathews' RB25 Average Draft Position is affordable enough that he is plenty worthy of a sixth-round risk across formats. He is a capable receiving back and should have a firm grip on the Eagles' goal-line carries. Philadelphia has the makings of a strong run-blocking line, enhanced by the addition of 343-pound RG Brandon Brooks. Assuming August goes smoothly, Mathews will be a borderline RB1 when he takes the field Week 1 versus the Browns. He'll smash his ADP if he stays healthy.

He had at least two separate plays last season on wheel routes where he had a gimme touchdown and the ball bounced right off his hands. He's not that skilled in the pass game. He doesn't pass the eye test.

The other teammates had 150 targets in the passing game as well last year. He had 28. That's not all because of Chip's division of snaps.

Cool thx, was looking for homer insight like that because I only recall praise of his pass-catching skills coming out of college and he seems to convert a reasonable amount of targets.

Yeah it's one of those things that the stats don't match the eye test to me. He just seemed hesitant sometimes running simplistic routes < 5-10 yards from the LOS. Maybe he had problems with Chip's offense just like some of the others. I'm willing to account for some of the external factors to a point. But given the other RB's on the roster are all better receivers than him I just don't think he'll be a consistent lead-back. I envision frustration with him like Jeremy Hill last season. Standard scoring or best-ball? Sure I'll take a flier if he slips. But year long PPR re-draft? ehhhhhhh
