I do like to know what makes people tick and how they come to their line of thinking. Actually we got married about a year before that on paper. That was just the ceremony and we didn't tell many people we had already been married. I had already proposed and we were planning on getting married but then we decided to go to the courthouse about a month after I proposed to get married legally since I was getting out of the military and needed health insurance. Plus my wife would get paid extra money since I would be her dependent.

Stop it. You doubted his story when he said he'd been doped up on pain meds after breaking his leg skiing in Canada. You knew the timetables for the ski season and his injury didn't add up.

Actually I thought he was using an months-old injury as an excuse to abuse prescription painkillers.

 

When I had my broken leg repaired, had a single dose of morphine post-op and was discharged the same day. I used only a few Percocets after that, but not for pain from the break; I injured a nerve as well. But that pain subsided pretty quickly, too.
