Well, I made a promise to respond to this (even though HT's usually on Ignore for me - I swear to God, he posts like 2 minutes after every post I make - the difference is, his shiit is just ignorance.) To wit:

If you do any kind of independent research on your own (which they don't), you'd find that the CF or CGI pulls in roughly $150 M in donations per year. Does it make ANY kind of focking sense that they'd be able to spend ONE THIRD of their donations on travel? Of course not. Not only that, but they'd likely lose 501 exempt status.

 

So, where'd this number come from? The NY Post folks. Yes, that bastion of Journalistic Integrity. BIG HEADLINE: $50 MILLION IN TRAVEL EXPENSES!!!!

This banner focking headline came out in 2013. - The $50M? Is a CUMULATIVE number since 2003. It took me a minute to figure that out, but NY POST got their attention - and that's all that matters

 

So, doing the math, that's an average of about 3% of total donations per annum. There are very few international charities that could spout that low of a figure.

 

NOW, even though it doesn't fit with the narrative of Bill porking stewardesses on his own personally chartered super jet: Bear in mind, this also includes flying recipients to classes and training, flying doctors and teachers to villages, etc...

 

 

 

And THIS is the tiresome part and why the usual suspects (including Faux) whine about how 'the 'intellectuals' always act SOOO superior!

 

..If you are ignorant by accident of birth and/or lack of educational opportunities, that's one thing. However, if you have the capability and opportunity to read bullshiit like Breitbart et al, thn you also have the opportunity to do as I did - research a subject or a claim on your own rather than mindlessly believing the babble.

 

And if you chose not to. You are choosing to be willfully ignorant. And you wonder wh those people come across as stupid and inferior and are repeatedly chosen by the media to be the subject of scorn and derision.

It's even worse than I thought. In 2011, they spent 12 million on travel. Sorry, you're either cheating on your taxes, or you're not operating as a charity spending that much on travel. More like a high end travel agency for a few people. Give me a break. Now they are going to amend their taxes for the last 5 years? No kidding, they are caught. Low rent grifters. Didn't they get away with another travel related scandal years ago?
