wiffleball 4,790 Posted August 5, 2016 Haven't checked on this thread in a while. The best way I can sum up this thread visually is essentially the same five liberals all standing in a circle. Each one is taking their right hand and jerking off the person to the right of them and then with their left hand is patting the one on the left saying "effing Trump huh?" Just over and over again. Sinners. This is hysterical. Cyclone posted 61 times in this thread the second highest post count behind - wait for it - Troubadeski. Yeah, but he just stopped by to see the shiit-show. LOL. More like he swung and missed 60 times, realized he was peeing into the wind, quit and ran away because he couldn't handle the fact that Trump kept shooting himself (and his backers) in the foot. Thursdays: Party establishment is furious at Trump for being divisive within the party Friday: I fully support Ryan and McCain. Great guys! Atta boy Donald. It will be amazing, he always hires the best people! Well, the majority of top NS advisors from Nixon to Bush have signed this letter.... "Trumps not going to micromanage this. He's going to have the best people for the job! Can you name anyone who is on that team now, or even on his short list? ....Well, Donald DID release a list of SCOTUS candidates.... Geesus. Donald Trump has been able to live a life of "risk" and "conviction" because there was never really any consequences for him... he's a guy that's been able to say and do whatever he wanted his whole life and never really have to answer for it... and that's what's made him entertaining and interesting - his brashness is a key component of "Trump". On the flip side, people who work at high levels of National Security are dealing with decisions and consequences EVERY day... their world is the antithesis of Donald Trump's... so of course they can't imagine a brash, reactive, confrontational, person succeeding in their world.

wiffleball 4,790 Posted August 12, 2016 I saw a bit from one of his rallies today. First time that I've seen him acknowledge that he could lose. Usually it's HUGE this and GREAT and WINNING! Not so much today. Trump isn't spending money, is talking about losing, is ignoring his advisors and the GOP and is on a completely delusional scorched earth rant. - Not to mention already setting the Press up as the reason for his failure. He definitely strikes me as a take my ball and go home guy. As thin-skinned as this guy is? And the fact that he's getting hit from literally every side? I think the fun has gone out of his days. I think he's too proud and realistic (?) enough to realize he can't just quit. But he strikes me as the guy who's losing a game so badly that he just starts sabotaging everything. If this were a game of 1 on 1, he's basically shooting baskets into the other hoop.
wiffleball 4,790 Posted August 12, 2016 It also sounds like he's pushing hard for a stealth tax break that would cut the effective rate to about half for his businesses. Gonna have to check that out.

Some guy wants his company to be able to sell stuff to Iran, needs a waiver, hires Bill for a speech, gets waiver. And it's all over the world with all sorts of charachters and despots. Whatever, nobody cares. But yeah, we are going to watch her fending off congress for four years because of her and her husbands slime trail.
wiffleball 4,790 Posted August 12, 2016 This is going to be harder to prove than some might think. Global NGO's work with and communicate with groups like the State Dept, WHO and UNESCO as part of the gig. I would think they'd have to find a very clear cut case where the State Department changed a policy (tarriffs, embargoes, etc) as a result of a quid pro quo payment. Personally, I don't think the Clintons are that ham-handed. Even Fox today has said there's no there, there with what has been leaked thus far - but who knows whats in the other 30K emails Right now, all they have is a former CF staffer who was then at the time working for the SD doing some volunteer level work for the CF. Hell, major corporations loan out executives (with full salary and benes) to charitable foundations all the time, so that won't cut it. It's going to have to take something like I said above. As it gets closer to the election, if it is still clear that he is going to lose, and lose bad, it is going to be must see TV. The debates would be epic at that point. A butt hurt trump with nothing to lose? God knows what he could say. I mean, we've seen the filtered, best behavior version up to now. What will the "fock you people" disgruntled version be like? I can't wait for the concession speech. Wouldn't surprise me if he calls her a kvnt on live tv.
