HTH 95 Posted April 2, 2019 The recipe for German Chocolate Cake linked below is phenomenal, but I'm looking for something new. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. wiffleball 4,789 Posted April 2, 2019 The key to a really great cake is to Brown the flour first. Simply take your flourr and spread it as thin as possible on a baking sheet. Then stick it under a high heat broiler. Just a few minutes will do. It will bring out that nut taste that you get from really great grains. And completely Cook out the gross raw flour taste. wiffleball 4,789 Posted April 2, 2019 Note, do not confuse this with Browning the flower. Which is a whole nother thing. It's like a Cleveland steamer, but you drop a deuce on a woman's lady tulip.
