Djgb13 2,339 Posted August 2, 2019 As if the game isn’t slow enough they have this now. Hopefully it doesn’t stick. https://twitter.com/SNFonNBC/status/1157099846505046016?s=

Frozenbeernuts 2,250 Posted August 2, 2019 Coaches still have the same amount of challenges though, right? I don't see it slowing the game down much so long as coaches aren't allowed more challenges
bostonlager 2,664 Posted August 2, 2019 There should only be 1 official on the field. That lone official spots the ball and announces the calls to the crowd. The entire game is officiated by the guys in New York looking at the film live and in replay immediately after each play. Not only will you speed the game up, but you will eliminate almost all bad calls.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted August 2, 2019 Honestly, I rather they review offensive holding in the backfield.

If you like games with tons of sacks, teams carrying 7 active QB's, and a lot of 0-0 ties, then you would get your wish.
IGotWorms 4,058 Posted August 2, 2019 Just seems like a big ol can of worms to me. Sure there’s a one in a million blown call like in the saints playoff game, where the receiver is outright tackled before the ball gets there and there’s no question about it. But on damn near every other play there’s various grappling, tugging, hand fighting etc. Where do you draw the line? And what about when they’re both engaged in p.i. as is frequently the case? I dunno, guess we’ll see what happens but this seems a poor move to me.
