No idea where you got that idea from.  I was just saying Covid doesn’t seem like a good excuse to cancel the straight pride parade since I’m sure the people who organized the straight pride parade probably also though Covid was NBD.

I wasn't really that bad the first time I had it, before the vaccine was available.  Basically just felt tired and run down for a week.  It wasn't much at all the second time I got it, as expected.

As I pointed out in the Covid thread recently, the IFR was always less than 1% so naturally there were going to be a lot of people that “it wasn’t that bad” for.  But on the whole it was much worse than flu.

I’m in Covid recovery now - started showing symptoms last Wednesday. Friday into Saturday was as sick as I’ve ever been in my life - 103 fever, chills and throat so sore I didn’t eat for a day. I can’t say if this is typical but based on my 1 experience with Covid I’d say it’s much worse than the flu.
