I am not a fan of the whole "hate crime" bullsh!t.....

Most crime involves "hate" of one kind or another.   The notion of the "hate crime" is to placate minority groups who feel put upon in a world dominated by competition.

Disagree here.  We have an absolute, no question about it, assault based purely on hate.  Most times I agree, because I don't think crimes were based in hate simply due to race.

Regardless, we should be punishing the act, not the motivation.

The actual act and its outcomes are known, pretending to know what is in someone's head is an area where we should not be trodding.
