He served overseas, lived in Japan after his military days, ran a pirate radio station, HAM radio operator, just started doing talk in the middle of night, uprooted himself and moved from the US to the Phillipines because why not. Came back. Married multiple times. Started his own show, sold it, started another one. Outside of his professional career he was actively doing things and he would talk about it and mix it in to his show. People want to know that you are more than your job. Dude was crazy as a coot and married a young ass pinay but so what? He had a soothing voice late at night. Another one I used to love that my dad turned me on to was Bruce Williams. Anyway, this guy is different, and from my layman's brain, he seems to be asking some pretty intellectual questions based on the reactions and responses of his guests. But those I work with seemed to know who he was and now I'm seeing him brought up everywhere. Name exposure wise, this guy has gone from 0-60 in a second in my life. Weirds me out sort of.
