everett left tyhe rams and went to seattle.  higbee is the only te on the rams now basically.  when everett was hurt, higbee put up big numbers.

Yeah I know. I thought Higbee may have continued his 2019 dominance last year. He wasn't even close. A pretty poor season. Now they have Jacob Harris who looks very promising.

Are other people drafting their defenses as early as you?  How early did the Rams and Steelers go in last year's draft?

Rams went at pick 62 to the defending champs.  Vikings went at pick 70 to the team that won the title 2 years ago.  Then i picked the colts at pick 76.  So just the good GMs are picking defenses high.

Were the Rams the first defense taken last year?  I believe they scored the most points in most leagues last year.  The year before they finished in the middle of the pack.  Just an example of how you don't need to take a D that early.

You should post this on the main board for some better input.

Jacob harris is extremely raw. It would shocking for harris to do much of anything on this rams team ready to win now.

Quick story.  So I've been at my new company for about 2 months.  Today the I.T. Manager walks into my office and says "Hey man, something came up and I cannot make the <insert company fantasy football draft> tonight at the bar, I heard you might be going just to hang out, do you mind drafting for me as I do not trust auto-drafting, do you know anything about football?

I looked him dead in the eye and said "Yeah man, I was a commissioner for a league for 15 years and was a bookie in college, I got you."   He grinned, didn't say a word, walked away with a thumbs up.   Classic.

I feel like the guy who quit the business but can be a hired gun if needed.  The John Wick of Fantasy Football.

i think defense is severely underrated.  ive won many games simply because i had an elite defense and scored a ton of points there.  last year i even had 2 elite defenses and traded 1 for ceedee lamb.  i have no problem taking them early.  the colts have 2 stud pass rushers in buckner and leonard which is transformational.  and the pats are loaded on defense.

I agree. Having the top defense is a big advantage I think. I always took one early ish when I played.

Drafting the best defense can definitely be a huge benefit but how often do the early picked defenses finish at the top?  Streaming defenses based on match ups can also produce great results.

Two years ago in my 12 team league, high stakes, the Patriots were the 11th defense drafted. They were by far the best defense. Drafting defenses these days is all dependent on touchdowns, which are impossible to predict.

They were the best by a lot of points that year.  The Rams were the top defense last year but the year before that they were like 15th.

Stafford liked using Hockerson. I think there is upside for higbee

Chase in the 5th round or any round is a bad pick.  He's already dropping perfect passes and he's at best WR3 in a low octane offense.

Damien Harris isn't going to help you win games, lose maybe if you start him.

There are a lot of players I like on the team, but I am curious about other options every round

I dont play it safe.  I try to hit home runs as much as i can.  Connecting on just one home run can win a league.  Thats why i pick chase, harris, elijah, etc.  my starters are set. The yahoo draft grading system thinks like you do,  thats why it gave me a d+ this year and grades me very low every draft.  Then all season, every yahoo weekly writeup is about how i am massively overachieving.

I do the same (young players with upside), just on those two specific players, I'm not a fan, I could be wrong of  course.  The rest of the top of your draft I do like, I should have mentioned that in my previous post.
