But, If that is your price I’d just consider selling Monday. Is it worth another 2500 bucks or whatever to wait. Not really worth it if just wanting to remove risk. lod001 1,344 Posted February 14, 2024 Seen this show before, 24 years ago. It's gonna end the same way. I'll tell ya why. I'm making between $2000 and $8000 a day. Yeah, not sustainable. I'm not that lucky.

Yes it won’t go up every day and will trend down for periods - sometimes severely - but will eventually go back up

thegeneral 3,209 Posted February 22, 2024 A day for the ages. Unbelievable actually. One company took the whole market put it on its back and said LFG TO THE MOON. What a motherfucking day!!

No ups and no downs. 5% And everyone keeps talking like it's all or nothing. I dont get it. I still have a ~75% in equities. Daily swings dont do much for me. I know it's going to keep compounding for decades. And in the next couple years I'll have less and less in individual stocks. Doesnt matter which one in the index pops, it still goes up, all without the risk and guessing.

There’s nothing like today when everything is green and gaining in chunks like today. Today was one for the books. In any case if you are hoping for a 10%+ dip I am assuming you are moving the safe money back into stocks.

But was like going to the Super Bowl with a bag of cocaine on the moon with strippers if you were holding NVDA

But was like going to the Super Bowl with a bag of cocaine on the moon with strippers if you were holding NVDA Fun, sounds a lot like gambling. Did you sell some of NVDA or are you letting it ride? Because if you didn't then yesterday didn't really mean as much as you're making it out to be. For me, I'm starting to look at it differently. You've heard of Heinz Berggruen, one of the most prominent German art collectors of the 20th century? He was friends with Pablo Picasso and many other leading artists, but, it wasn't his ability to say to himself, "you know these paintings by Picasso are the ones that are really going to be worth something some day" that made him a fortune. Instead it was the fact that he bought everything he could, mass collections by all sorts of artists. Decades later when one Picasso turned out to be priceless, it really didn't matter if 99% of all the other paintings weren't worth very much.

I have sold to cover my initial investment and am free rolling. Have bought and sold in 10%ish chunks along the way four times including yesterday. We’ll see how this latest one plays out. No one knows! Stock market is like 80% legalized gambling. Up until last few years was the only game in town for most. I do like my odds better than playing craps though.
