All this western talk got me in the mood to watch one of my favorites last night.  If you like Westerns with a great cast and haven't seen it, check out 3:10 to Yuma.

Lots of great movies mentioned here.

The only one not mentioned that stands out to me is The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. Such a great film with John Wayne, James Stewart, and Lee Marvin. Really explores the idea of legends and heroes in the old west.

Urban Cowboy

Are you just saying a western or do you truly believe that Urban Cowboy is on your Mount Rushmore of greatest westerns ever?  :shocking:

Ok... No order necessarily

Tombstone

Wyatt Earp (very under rated)
Young Guns 1 and 2
and for the closer...

The Three Amigos

Also, I'm gonna go with  Desperado,  The Quick and the Dead, and any western that Eastwood and Wayne were in.

Funny you mentioned Three Amigos; my daughter watched it recently.  It came up in conversation because we were talking about Community.

Her:  We watched Three Amigos, it was actually funny unlike a lot of other movies from that time that don't hold up.  It has that guy from Community in it.

Me:  Huh, what?

Her:  Pierce

Me:  Oh, Chevy Chase.  Yeah he was kinda famous.  :D
