Yeah, it's pretty much what they have for tennis. Makes sense to use that. I heard on MLB Radio last week that the robot umpires literally miss 7% of the pitches. They don't even see them and fail to make a call, so the human umpire has to make the call. On top of that, the robots are 97% accurate on calls they do make. Human umpires are at 97.5% (on average). craftsman 1,045 Posted December 23, 2022 Just leave baseball alone. Maybe get rid of televising games and just have in person or news coverage or radio broadcasts of the action.

Not sure you can have a professional league at the level of the NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB without TV contracts.

It just seems everyone enjoyed baseball for like 100 years and now I just see so much griping about it because of technology.

Times have changed a lot and baseball doesn’t relate as much. It doesn’t match the lack of attention spans the average person has. I love watching the Cubs but find all other games boring besides the playoffs.

And it is not the umpires fault. Wearing full gear with facemask, standing behind the catcher, pitchers throwing high 90s and the breaking off curves and sliders out of the zone. Makes it a difficult task. And the umps all have their own version of strikes too.
