He died like right around when the first season of the show was made. So he was on that season but I don't think any of the subsequent seasons. The GF and I bought a bottle of Tim Smith's moonshine after he went legit, and also a bottle of Popcorn Sutton's. Tim's was actually pretty good while Popcorn Sutton's tastes like I imagine turpentine tastes. We finished The Tim Smith bottle.
