Sumbitch!

Thought that one would be there a little longer.

I thought about waiting on it but guess I grab it when I should have.

Take Me Home, Country Roads - John Denver - 70s

John Denver is huge like you can't imagine in Asia including China. His talent, his squeaky clean image and friendly personality, his songs about rural American life, and his uplifting non-political message, all made big impact for himself and the image of the USA. When the first Chinese delegation in decades arrived in the US in 1979, since he was already big in Japan, Korea, and Vietnam, President Carter invited him to perform. In turn Deng Xiaoping, personally, was smitten and Denver was invited to tour China and he worked his magic in another Asian country.

So this song particularly you will hear all over China, as the returning home message after being away a long time is something everyone can relate to. There's a huge fan base in China.

I probably could have waited on this one, but I'm not taking any chances. This is my all time favorite country singer and its a shame Lori Morgans killed him.

3.03 Don't Close Your Eyes - Keith Whitley - wildcard

Whisky Bent and Hellbound is how you present, but now -look at this guy- you've accompanied it with your second deep song of unrequited love.

At least Keith kinda' sorta' has the girl on the rebound. He's good enough for now with room to grow, so long as the other focker never comes back around... which is probably what happened to the poor guy in George Jones' song.

Outstanding corner for BHB.

And it really drives home why I couldn't participate in this draft and yet wanted to follow along ... I'd not known either of those songs and loved them both.

I've been accused of split personality. I might go heartbreak on the odd rounds and rebel on the evens the rest of the way, lol

Not so much a split personality, more like evidence that not even you can be Whisky Bent and Hellbound all the time. The right song can find it's way to bypass the exterior armor and tug your heart strings too.

I could download movies at will in China using thePirateBay and other torrent sites. I still have my VPN, so I wonder if I can turn it on do the same here. I'm too nervous to try, so I haven't downloaded anything since I returned.
