Good Morning

Recommended Posts

At least 6 inches of snow since Friday.  Stupid Lake Michigan.  Also I guess the Oscars happened last night, but I was too busy playing Assassins Creed Vahalla to notice. My Vikings have invaded England, so that's cool.

On this day in 1982 ABC TV crime drama "T.J. Hooker" premieres, starring William Shatner...and strangely enough, I have never seen an episode, hard to believe considering the bad tv I watch.

Every geek have a great week!

Good morning Mike!!!  Heather Lock leer I mean Locklear is a great way to start off a Monday.  Also partly sunny and mid 70's here in Savannah.  A bit breezy but I will be taking the boat out today.

30 degrees and already 1" of snow, supposed to stop at noon.  Spring starts in 8 days, enough with the snow.

What a great weekend.  The weather was awesome yesterday.  Went to a local joint and had crawfish.  Sitting on the patio listening to live music, eating crawfish and drinking buckets of beer. Brilliant!  Went home, sat on my patio, enjoyed a cigar and a glass of Dalwhinnie Distillers edition watching the sunset.

Good morning all!  Chamber of Commerce weather here this past weekend; unfortunately I'm recovering from my b00b job and on strict orders to be a sloth... wait, did I say "unfortunately?"  😜 Watched my wife clean the grill, clear out the flower bed, and scoop a dead rat out of the pool (her least favorite, although I did grab the thing and bag it for the trash) while I mostly watched golf.

It would have been better if Tommy Lee made a sex tape with Heather Locklear instead of Pamela Anderson.

I remember those days from living in Erie.   My job moved to Cleveland with a promotion and nice raise but I decided that if I was going to sell the house and move I was going south so I ended up in Savannah.

If it makes you feel better it barely hit 60 today on the water.  We had to go to a standby spot because it was way too rough near the ocean.  Still I found these so it was a great day.  The largest was almost 6" long.  https://megateeth.com/2023/03/13/nicer-teeth-from-today/

Very nice!  BTW the date on the left of the photo says 3/13/22, not 23.

NP.  I've got a gift where I can look at a page and a typo/mistake leaps out at me.  Often it is a curse though; I need to shut it off here for instance or my mind would go crazy with all of the fat fingering that goes on.  :D

OMG-I needed you recently.

I'm not a good speller, and even worse at proofing. Sent client a preview of video the other day. He adds 10 comments, mostly asking for textual call-outs during the video.  Me, the worst speller in the office found 3 spelling mistakes in the copy.

On Monday, the client at a trade show where the video is playing calls frantically, cause there are 2 more spelling mistakes that I missed that are now playing on a 10 foot large monitor in front of their booth!

I'm available for contract work... :D

One time a marketer I worked with and I were discussing a press release he had ghost written for our CEO.  He handed me a copy, and two seconds later I handed it back and pointed out a grammatical error.  He was :shocking: but grateful that I caught it before the release went out.

I used to joke that it would be awesome if I could figure out a way to monetize the gift, but the world doesn't place too much value on it.  I actually kinda did in one job, where I reviewed qualification documents from a 3rd-party vendor before we sent them to our end customer.  The "big bucks" were more for technical knowledge/input, but I got to flex my grammar nazi muscles as well.

I trust you were able to suppress your rabid hatred for Indians this time. 🤨
