Also, I am not saying that Michelle Obama could not gain the experience which would in my mind qualify her for the job.  I dislike her politics but she seems a capable woman.  maybe she could run Chicago then Illinois, then run for President.

I agree with all but captains of industry.  Too many of those people rose to that level due only to their name and many many fail spectacularly only to be given another shot in another company.

She checks the easy boxes.  As I said so does Kayleigh Mcenanay who I spotlight since she is from the other side of the political spectrum from you and so I presume you can see how that would be absurd.  So too do I check all of the those boxes Michelle Obama checks, as do many here, perhaps yourself included.  Those easily checked boxes do not qualify one to bn President of the United States.  Sadly she might be able to win in spite of her lack of qualification.  She would not be the first to do so.

Given my disdain for the United Nations and its sad predecessor I highly doubt history would have worked itself out otherwise as they are show ponies.  Real power has always resided elsewhere.  That said I cannot disprove your wild speculation and will not try.  My point was she is widely believed to have wielded the levers of power for some time and not disasterously, some might even argue effectively.  Her only qualification being marriage was the main point.

The UN was pretty effective in its initial years: created the State of Israel, defended South Korea, etc. I won’t argue that in the years since it has earned your disdain. But I still think it’s a noble idea and necessary. 
 

It’s been a while since I read up on Ms Wilson so I’m not sure. I seem to recall she relied heavily on a Colonel House. In any event she wasn’t quite the despicable person her husband was- Woodrow was easily the worst racist President in our history.

Let's see, Trump won in 2016 and no one attacked our capital.  Trump lost in 2020 and his low educated base attacked our capital.

There were riots after Trump’s historic electoral landslide of 2016.   Also, many domestic terrorist threats were made the weekend after his inauguration during a left wing protest.
