People are moving there, it results in market forces responding to it so when you see costs rise that is part of the system.

People are escaping liberal hell holes at a pace that stresses the infrastructure and system.  What you are providing is a view that helps us better see the scale and scope of how much people dislike liberal localities to find a better life.

Because....and this might sound crazy......improving the infrastructure costs money....and that comes from......taxes.....   Safety will go down until Florida is able to get their situation improved.....and if liberal localities dont stop making it suck then this could get worse.....

Anytime someone trots out a univariable analysis was should pause, and this is certainly one of those times. It would be silly to suggest it is the only reason.  But it is an important one. Their sucess is resulting in challenges, that is why people keep migrating there.

This might seem crazy, but if the places losing population were to mimic Floridas policies it could result in fewer people leavine.

You can try to suggest that Florida is some terrible place....but what does it say about the places those people are leaving that they would rather be in Florida and like Texas.  I know you do not want it to be true, but the people doing it are proving you wrong.

I would say costs are a big part of people moving, this was enabled greatly during  the shift to remote work, people not working at all, etc during the pandemic.

I agree that infrastructure and big cities in general are going to have issues especially when they grow and I will be curious to watch how this is handled. In my city for instance certain neighborhoods have solved homelessness by banning it. What a great idea!

Assuming Biden does not hide in his basement or actively avoid facing down Trump in a debate again, I think it will just be a clown show with these two.  I hope I am wrong.  Maybe Biden gives us a break and backs out, or maybe Desantis can overtake Trump. We can only hope. I do not care who it is, but I want the policies back that were making us stronger.  As long as the Trump-era policies come back, you can put a ferret in there.....

Onw of the things I think shows as an opportunity is that Detroit....yes....DETROIT....could jump into this thing.  If they make their tax situation more favorable they could really see a resurgence IMHO....and to some extent this has already started.  There is some evidence suggesting they are seeing a small turn around.  We know people are fleeing these liberal hell holes.....and yes climate plays a role, but Detroit could totally capitalize here and draw in people.....who knows...JMHO
