Religious Families Sue Maryland School District for Exposing Children to Sexual Content with Pride Storybooks

....An Islamic religious group has filed a lawsuit against a Maryland school district for exposing children to content about human sexuality without notifying parents or permitting caregivers to opt out of the lessons.....The Council on American-Islamic Relations filed the lawsuit on behalf of parents whose children attend Montgomery County Public Schools. The plaintiffs allege that the schools “introduce[d] pre-K and elementary school kids to certain books (the “Pride Storybooks”) that promote one-sided transgender ideology, encourage gender transitioning, and focus excessively on romantic infatuation—with no parental notification or opportunity to opt out.”...According to the filing, the parents are from multiple religious denominations of both Islam and Christianity....

One example of material given to young students included in the filing is the book Pride Puppy by Robin Stevenson and Julie McLaughlin. The book, created for children ages 3 to 4, includes a “search and find word list” instructing children to look for the “intersex [flag],” a “[drag] king” and “[drag] queen,” “leather,” and “underwear.”

Another book, called Love Violet, encourages fourth-grade students to “talk about our feelings with someone that we don’t just ‘like’ but we ‘like like,’” according to the teachers’ guide.

Fifth-grade students in the school district were given Born Ready: The True Story of a Boy Named Penelope, which “advocates [for] a child-knows-best approach to gender transitioning, telling students that a decision to transition doesn’t have to ‘make sense’ and that students are the best ‘teacher’ on such matters, not parents or other adults,” per the lawsuit.

While parents were forewarned about the books and allowed to opt their students out of the lessons during the current school year, the same warnings will not be provided next year. The plaintiff and the CAIR contend the school district will be in violation of its “own written policies” as well as a state law that “lets parents opt their children out from instruction on ‘family life and human sexuality.’”....

The Parents believe it is spiritually, mentally, and physically injurious to introduce children prematurely to many of the topics introduced by the Pride Storybooks. The plaintiffs have asked the court to uphold their right under the First Amendment to opt their children out of lessons on family life and human sexuality. They have also asked for a preliminary injunction that prevents the School Board from forcing students “to read, listen to, or discuss the School Board’s Pride Storybooks” despite objection from parents and to be granted liminal damages....

35-Year-Old Woman Accused Of Sexting And Giving Drugs To Teens, Allegedly Told Authorities She Identifies As 15-Year-Old Boy

....A 35-year-old Washington woman allegedly told authorities she identifies as a 15-year-old boy after she was arrested for harboring runaway teens and accused of providing them with drugs and alcohol and sexting them. Amanda Dorrough was charged with unlawful harboring of minors earlier this month after police said they discovered Dorrough planned to flee Seattle with a group of teenagers.... The adult woman was arrested on May 4 after the vice principal at Port Angeles High School, northwest of Seattle, reportedly contacted police after two students revealed their plan to run away with Dorrough, who went by the nickname “Taz” with the group of teens.

Dorrough, who the Daily Mail reports is a mother of three children, allegedly told Clallam County Jail staff that she identifies as a 15-year-old boy....Police found Dorrough in a gully with a boy amid a heap of blankets, “two empty condom packets, one unopened condom, a bra, and an empty cigarette packet with a lighter,” according to the police report. At least 10 different incident reports received by police allegedly involved Borrough and her relationship with minors....Neighbors reportedly called the police after witnessing minors enter and leave Dorrough’s apartment regularly. One neighbor also said the adult woman was seen topless in the hallway with a boy who appeared to be around 13 years old, according to the report. Police also said that Dorrough was kicked out of a Boys and Girls Club over “perceived ‘predatory’ behavior.”

....The police report — which was first reported by radio host Jason Rantz — alleges that the adult woman got naked in front of minors, touched one inappropriately, and gave them marijuana. One of Dorrough’s alleged victims reportedly told authorities that the 35-year-old woman was “pedophile-ish.” When one of the minors told Dorrough he wasn’t interested in her, she allegedly got upset and said she would kill herself.....

Dorrough was not charged with any sexual offenses and was released on bond on May 14, just 10 days after her arrest.

New Hampshire School District To Use Covid Relief Money to Fund Drag Show

....New Hampshire’s Manchester School District received COVID relief funds to host a youth pride event with a drag performance, a new report found. ...Manchester School District received $4,000 from Manchester’s Community Event and Activation Grant Program, which is funded through American Rescue Plan funds. The money, which was awarded on May 10th, will go towards hosting a “Youth Pride Event” on June 2....Of the sum, $500 is earmarked “pride decorations and swag” while another $500 is slated to be used for “drag performers.” Another $150 is set to be for “lawn decorations.”

...One flier advertising the event told students that the pride event would include a “Photo Booth” as well as “swag, food, entertainment and drag, LGBTQ+ affirming organizations, cake and more!”....New Hampshire Department of Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut questioned the decision to provide COVID-relief funds for the pride event, asking “Is this really the best use of taxpayer funds?” Though $4,000 from the American Rescue Plan will go towards the event, it is projected to cost a total of $6,000.

Manchester Public Schools: Parents Who Don’t Like Secrecy Policy Can Take Their Kids and Leave

Call it the “Don’t Let the Door Hit You” Defense....During oral arguments in a lawsuit over its policy of keeping parents in the dark about their children’s behavior, the Manchester School District’s attorney told the state Supreme Court that parents shouldn’t be able to challenge the district’s policy. Instead, they should pull their kids out of public school and go somewhere else....“If the parents want to make a different choice, they can homeschool, or they can send their child to a private school; those are options available to them,” said attorney Meghan Glynn.

The district is being sued over its policy of keeping students’ behavior related to sex and gender secret from their parents.

Richard Lehmann, the attorney for the Manchester mother going by Jane Doe, who filed the lawsuit, said parents have the right to know if their children are being socially transitioned in schools with the aid of school staff....“The real issue is not a school reporting on what a student is doing in school, but for the school to report what the school itself is doing in school,” Lehmann said....Lehmann rejected the argument that Doe’s lawsuit was an attempt to force the district to out LGBT students to their parents. He argued that it is about a government entity usurping parental powers and making decisions in place of a parent....“This is the government substituting its own judgment over a parent’s judgment when it comes to gender identity,” Lehmann said.

Jane Doe stated in her original complaint that she found out in the fall of 2021 that her child was using a different pronoun and gender identity at school. The school’s name was withheld in court documents to protect the child’s identity. The mother spoke with school staff, including the student’s guidance counselor. According to the lawsuit, the mother made it clear she wanted her child to be called by the name and pronouns the child had at birth while in school. Even though the staff she spoke to initially agreed, the mother received an email from the school principal stating that the mother’s instructions were being overridden due to the district’s policy. According to the lawsuit, the principal stated that the district’s policy requires school staff to keep such matters secret from parents if the child so chooses. Even if staffers agree to use the child’s true gender identity when speaking with the mother, they would be obligated to not tell the mother if the child wished to be identified as something else.

The policy states teachers and staff are not to tell anyone about a child’s gender identity without the express consent of the child. School employees are also directed to use the child’s biological pronouns and given name when talking about the child to people who do not know about the nonconforming gender identity.

Mulvaney was biologically born a male. No one disputes this.

Mulvaney currently has not had "bottom surgery" ( but has apparently had hormone replacement treatments and some facial plastic surgery) Thus Mulvaney still has a p#nis.

Mulvaney now recently comes out and says "Mulvaney" is now sexually interested in biological females. And via "Mulvaney's" own words that followed, on record, draws a new distinction that rules out "gay, queer, non-binary and trans" The distinction literally rules out all other categories except biological adult females.

So if Mulvaney now has consensual sex with a biological female, logically, it would be done so with a p#nis. Mulvaney's p#nis.

There's a discussion between Mulvaney and "Mulvaney's" biological male father about "getting a woman pregnant"

Which could only happen if Mulvaney had sex with a biological female, and then impregnated that female. There is no logical way for a biological female to get Mulvaney "pregnant" as is stated in the video.

You know who else gets biological females pregnant via consensual adult sex? Biological males who have heterosexual sex with biological females. Using their p#nis.

But if anyone points out the contradictions here, they'll be immediately called a bigot.

Gender affirmative medicine, including hormone therapy
HIV/STD screening and treatment
Behavioral health services, including therapy and medication management

UMMC to shut down LGBTQ+ clinic amid political pressure

....Depending on who you ask, the 27-year-old inmate who impregnated two women in a New Jersey prison earlier this year is either a martyr to the transgender cause — or a cold-blooded killer who got involved in a messy love triangle behind bars....Demi Minor, as a troubled foster kid — then called Demetrius — had a record for burglaries and at least one carjacking at gunpoint before brutally stabbing foster father Theotis “Ted” Butts 27 times in 2011 at age 16....

....But Demetrius is now Demi, a transgender woman activist fighting to be returned to a women’s prison after being removed from the state’s lone facility for females in June when it was discovered she had impregnated two other inmates. She was sent to a lock-up where she is the only person identifying as female. ....Demi is also now an advocate for “juvenile justice” with an elaborate social media presence and a team of advocates who’ve backed her since 2020....“She’s a force to be reckoned with, a triumph,” her new lawyer, Derek Demeri, an advocate for the LGBTQ community, told The Post. “I admire her ability to navigate the system......”

But Minor’s former foster mother, Dr. Wanda Broach-Butts, whose husband was slain by Minor, said she believes Minor is a manipulative “psychopath” using transgenderism as a ruse to get special treatment and attention in jail. She said she worries for the female inmates if Minor is returned to a women’s prison.....“I think all this about him being transgender is a ploy,” she told The Post. “He’s manipulating people to get a better situation for himself and to get attention. ....Minor, who’s serving a 30-year sentence for manslaughter and carjacking, was moved two months ago from the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women to the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility — a prison for young adults in Burlington County, according to a New Jersey Department of Corrections spokesman. Tiny Christian College Goes on Offensive as Biden Tries Forcing Female Students to Share Dorm Rooms - Even Showers - with Men

....A small Christian college in America’s heartland is fighting a legal battle with far-reaching implications. At stake is the school’s ability — any school’s ability — to restrict spaces such as dormitories and showers to only women. In one of his first official acts in the Oval Office, Biden signed an executive order that redefined the terms “sex,” “sexual orientation” and “gender identity.”...Three weeks later, Biden’s Department of Housing and Urban Development issued new rules requiring schools to open their women’s dormitories — showers and all — to men who “identify” as women. No exemptions were allowed, even for religious institutions.

But the College of the Ozarks said no....The Christian college, located in Point Lookout, Missouri, filed a lawsuit against Biden and his administration, arguing that the historical interpretation of the Fair Housing Act confirms that “sex” means biological sex. The college also argued that not only does the Biden executive order violate the school’s constitutional right to “operate consistently with their religious beliefs,” but also that there should have been a public notice and comment period before such a drastic change was made...

“Young women shouldn’t be forced to have to change or undress in the presence of men,” ADF senior counsel Julie Marie Blake told The Western Journal on Friday in an online interview. “Young women should not be forced to have men as roommates....We’re hoping that the Supreme Court realizes that there’s a lot of really important issues here about government overreach and women’s privacy and religious freedom,” she said....If they lose the case, she said, the college — and any others holding the same convictions — could face six-figure fines, punitive damages and even criminal liability for school officials who refuse to bow to the Biden administration’s edict.

Fears About Transgender People Are a Distraction From the Real Struggles All Women Face

.....In recent weeks, my DMs have been flooded with messages from well-meaning acquaintances, many asking precisely what was transphobic about J.K. Rowling’s self-published essay, “TERF Wars.”....Her piece contained nothing you wouldn’t find in ‘gender critical’ forums and op-eds: that the freedoms of transgender women impinge on those of cisgender (not trans) women. In subsequent tweets, Rowling also compared trans-affirming healthcare to conversion therapy, and suggested that young trans men are merely confused lesbians....Rowling’s words were well-timed to coincide with a governmental review of U.K. legislation which allows transgender people to legally change their gender on their birth certificate. The Gender Recognition Act 2004 was — at the time — progressive, but since then, many countries including Ireland, Argentina and parts of the United States have surpassed it. To get a Gender Recognition Certificate in the U.K., a trans person requires two specialist doctors to diagnose them with gender dysphoria and a mountain of bills to ‘prove’ their identity hasn’t changed over a two-year period. The majority of trans people in the U.K. simply don’t bother....

....Living in a patriarchy is fundamentally scary for all women. One in four women in the U.K. will be a victim of domestic abuse in their lifetime, and two women a week are murdered by a partner or ex-partner. What woman wouldn’t be terrified? Trans women are at heightened risk: 16% of trans women had experienced domestic violence in the last year compared to 7.5% of cisgender women....

....In her essay, Rowling disclosed she was a survivor of domestic violence and, in her next breath, described her abstract unease at sharing a refuge with a hypothetical trans woman. Why? She was assaulted by a familiar cisgender man, as are the vast majority of domestic violence victims. Across the world, most women are likely to know their rapist at the time of assault....It’s chilling to think that your friend, boyfriend, husband, or a male family member is the bogeyman. Easier, perhaps, to level your fears at a miniscule minority group....

This Time article really highlights are core problem with a cross section of the transgender community. They use the term "women" when it's convenient to fit their specific narrative ( i.e here to talk about domestic abuse) and then switch over to "trans women" when it's simply more advantageous to use that terminology instead. (i.e. the author implying that anyone in a heterosexual relationship, that the "woman" should fear her husband or boyfriend of being a domestic abuser and/or rapist)

"Trust the science!" It's something the radical left shouts out. Everyone needs to fall in line or get "cancelled" Except when JK Rowling says something that aligns with actual science. Also something that is an open display of her actual "free speech"

The implication is that "speech" that doesn't fit a very very very very tiny narrow window of acceptability is somehow tantamount to actual violence. Which of course degrades those out there, including men, women, transgenders, heterosexuals, LGBT, everyone who have been actual victims of real violence, including domestic abuse.

You'll notice there is ZERO consideration for Rowling's right to free speech. Because no one is allowed to be a bigger victim than those within the radical left and those who are activist complicit, and yes, that even includes some in the transgender community.

'All schools must comply' – schools get heavy-handed against Pride backlash

....Two provinces have now warned school boards that a failure to properly observe Pride could be illegal...As in-school Pride celebrations face growing signs of backlash across Canada, administrators are responding with stern reminders to school boards that these observations are not optional....“It is incumbent on all school boards to ensure all students – most especially 2SLGBTQ+ students – feel supported, reflected in their schools, and welcomed within our communities,” Ontario Minister of Education Stephen Lecce wrote in a June 2 statement to kick off Pride Month. He added, “that includes celebrating Pride.”

On the evening just before June 1, teachers in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board were sent a lengthy email reminding them that “2SLGBTQ+ representation” in the classroom is a “fundamental human right” protected by law....In B.C., Education Minister Rachna Singh opened Pride Month with a lengthy statement detailing how a failure to affirm and recognize students’ gender identity is a violation of the B.C. Human Rights Code.

“All schools must comply with the Human Rights Code and demonstrate they are creating safe, welcoming and inclusive environments for our students and staff,” wrote Singh, adding “when students can see themselves reflected in the world around them through stories of same-gender parents or math problems that use ‘they/them’ pronouns in a school environment, it sends a strong message of acceptance.”

Last week, the Toronto-area York Catholic District School Board narrowly voted down a proposal to fly the Pride flag at its Catholic Education Centre during the month of June. This year has also seen a phenomenon of mysterious mass-absences from Canadian schools in what is believed to be a silent protest against LGBT content in the curriculum. Last month, nearly one-third of the entire student population of London, Ont.’s largest elementary school was counted absent during a district-wide commemoration of International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.

Matt Walsh Undercover Investigation Catches Trans Health Care Providers ‘Rubber-Stamping’ Sex-Change Surgeries

....Some of the nation’s largest transgender “health care” providers are rubber-stamping approvals for life-altering sex-change procedures — and even falsely representing health diagnoses of patients — so insurance companies will cover the medical expenses, Daily Wire host Matt Walsh revealed in a tweet thread Wednesday. In an undercover investigation, Walsh and his team discovered how easy it is to get approved for sex-change surgery when one of the host’s producers got a thumbs up for an orchiectomy — a procedure to remove testicles — after just a 22-minute virtual appointment with Plume, the largest transgender health care provider in the U.S.

....Walsh’s producer Gregg Re got scheduled for a video call with Plume after providing a fake name on an intake form. Re made it clear that he had not been experiencing gender dysphoria for six months or more, he mispronounced the name of the surgery he wanted, and he said he didn’t know what effect the surgery would have on him. Yet, Plume’s nurse practitioner told Re “she wanted to write the most ‘solid’ letter possible to justify surgery,” Walsh explained....

.....Three days later, Plume sent a letter to Re, who said his name was “Chelsea Bussey,” saying Re was experiencing “significant, ongoing gender dysphoria” — despite “Bussey” stating unequivocally that this was not the case — and recommending “Chelsea” for testicle removal. Walsh said that in a text message to Re, Plume explained that the letters of recommendation are sent using a template based on standards provided by the radical World Professional Association for Transgender Health, also known as WPATH. Plume sells letters of recommendation for $150 to those seeking transgender surgeries.....

....Ari Groner, a licensed clinical social worker who educates doctors on “trans healthcare,” openly admitted in a video that those seeking transgender surgeries can easily get letters of recommendation.....“At a recent training session for the Juniper Center, Groner explained that she writes whatever letters her patients want, because she’s not a ‘gatekeeper,’” Walsh said, adding that “Groner explains that insurance companies won’t pay for these surgeries unless the patient is diagnosed with gender dysphoria.”

....Walsh and his team dug deeper into how Plume and Folx have expanded across the U.S. with Plume reaching people in 41 states and Folx present in 47 states. ....“The answer is that there’s big money behind this,” Walsh said. “Plume and Folx raised more than $45 million last year. [Craft Ventures] just led Plume’s $14 million fundraising round. Is [Craft general partner David Sacks] aware this is going on?”...With Plume and Folx operating in most of the U.S., The Daily Wire host asked if medical insurance companies were aware that the transgender medical providers were sending letters of recommendation “based on obviously false information.”

“[Trans activists] are furious because they know the ‘gender transition’ industry is corrupt and fraudulent from the ground up,” Walsh said. “Protecting kids is just one piece of the puzzle. The fight begins there, but it doesn’t end there. The whole industry needs to be shut down.”

BREAKING: California Bill Would Charge Any Parent Who Doesn’t Affirm Transgenderism With ‘Child Abuse’

California Bill AB 957 would classify gender-affirmation for children as essential child care....A recently amended California bill would add “affirming” the sexual transition of a child to the state’s standard for parental responsibility and child welfare—making any parent who doesn’t affirm transgenderism for their child guilty of abuse under California state law....AB 957 passed California’s State Assembly on May 3, but a co-sponsor amended it after hours in California’s State Senate on June 6. ...AB 957 post-amendment “would include a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity as part of the health, safety, and welfare of the child,” altering the definition and application of the entire California Family Code.

California courts would be given complete authority under Section 3011 of California’s Family Code to remove a child from his or her parents’ home if parents disapprove of LGBTQ+ ideology....By changing the definition of what constitutes the “health, safety, and welfare of [a] child,” schools, churches, hospitals, and other organizations interacting with children would be required to affirm “gender transitions” in minors by default—or risk charges of child abuse.

AB 957 could also expand which organizations provide “evidence” of gender “nonaffirmation” to California’s courts....Because of the addition of “gender affirmation” to the qualifications of California’s standards for “health, safety, and welfare,” California’s courts would now be able to accept reports of gender “abuse” from progressive activist organizations—as long as they claim to provide “services to victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.” In essence, a boy could report his parents to his local school’s Gay-Straight Alliance club or other LGBTQ+ organization, who could then report the boy’s parents for child abuse. Incredibly, the bill provides no definition whatsoever of what would qualify as “nonaffirming” to a child’s gender. ...As Susannah Luthi of The Washington Free Beacon points out, “The bill makes no distinctions regarding the age of a child, how long a child has identified as transgender, or affirmation of social transition versus medical sex-change treatments.”

...Nicole Pearson, founder of the Facts Law Truth Justice law firm and civil rights advocacy group, condemned AB 957’s unconstitutionality in an interview with The Daily Signal: This bill makes law that failure to affirm your child’s identity is child abuse. This will be a final, legal determination without any evidence in support, or a hearing with notice or the opportunity to be heard. Assemblywoman Wilson and Senator Scott Wiener are not doctors. They can’t make this determination for every single child aged 0 to 17 in the state and, yet, that is exactly what they’re trying to do here. If a parent or guardian is unwilling or simply not ready to affirm their 7-year-old’s new identity....they can be found guilty of child abuse under AB-957 if it passes into law. This is a horrifying bill for children, and for parents and guardians not just in California, but across the country. Gavin Newsom is gunning for president in 2028. If he signs this bill into law, here, it will be headed to every state if he wins....

AB 957 has a scheduled hearing in the State Senate on June 13 at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

Since then, the Rangers have held fast to their decision not to host another “Pride” celebration, though they have avoided making an official statement.....

Watch or Be Punished: California Students Threatened by Teacher for Objecting to Pride Video—Shown in Math Class

You’ll see Huntington Beach, CA, students push back against a pride-themed video clip—and promptly get threatened with punitive extra Saturday class days by the annoyed teacher if they continue to be disruptive....And it’s taxpayer-funded....The kids groan loudly—and some even sound like they’re booing— as the screen at the front of the classroom shows rainbow flags blowing in the wind before the clip cuts to two (what seem to be) females staring lovingly into each other’s eyes and caressing each other’s arms.

“Why are you showing this to kids?!” another yells out.

The teacher..."Hey! I’ll warn you guys now, if you’re going to be inappropriate, I will have [supervision down? Inaudible] and give you all a Saturday school for next year. Knock it off!"

In other words, bow to the ideology—or pay the price..... got clarification that the video was shown to all classes at the same time, not just math. Looks like the school wanted to be sure that every single student got their daily dose of indoctrination that day.

With the change in definition, this would also include forcing the firms to cover surrogacy for gay males....

....According to the Free Beacon, the opposition to SB 729 comes from California business and insurance groups who claim that it will raise insurance premiums by more than $330 million a year. ...."Under this bill, most insurance plans would be required to provide in vitro fertilization services based on someone’s relationship status or sexual orientation....For single men or male same-sex couples, this means they would need to access a surrogate to carry their child. All-Muslim City Council Bans LGBT ‘Pride’ Flag From City Property

.....The city council of the only U.S. locale with an all-Muslim governing body and mayor voted unanimously Tuesday night to ban the display of LGBTQ Pride flags on all city properties.....The resolution was introduced by Mayor Pro Tem and Councilman Mohammed Hassan of Hamtramck, Michigan, a city of about 28,000 next to Detroit. The resolution states that “the government of the City of Hamtramck does not allow any religious, ethnic, racial, political, or sexual orientation group flags to be flown on the City’s public properties, and that only, the American flag, and the nations’ flags that represent the international character of our City shall be flown.”

.....“You guys are the ones making problems,” Hassan told opponents of the proposal who attended a council meeting, according to the Detroit Free Press. “Please don’t threaten us. … I’m the elected official. … I’m working for the people, what the majority of the people like.”.....“We serve everybody equally with no discrimination, but without favoritism,” Hamtramck Mayor Amer Ghalib said. “Those people who accused me of hating them, half of my boards and commissions are either LGBTQ, or supporters for LGBTQ. I never fired anybody who belong to the LGBTQ.”

....Ghalib was elected in 2021 after he criticized former mayor Karen Majewski for flying the Pride flag outside city hall. As far back as 2008, conservative Christians in the community joined with the local Muslim community to battle the LGBT community over an a city ordinance that would include the LGBT community as a protected group.....“We want to respect the religious rights of our citizens,” City Councilman Nayeem Choudhury echoed. “You guys are welcome. … [but] why do you have to have the flag shown on government property to be represented? ....One Washington school district does not allow parents to opt their children out of LGBT Pride curriculum or activities. The superintendent said it’s offensive to even ask.....The Olympia School District (OSD) has earned global mockery and condemnation for a series of extremist positions and conduct that recently went viral. School Board Director Scott Clifthorne justified a vote to cut funding for music classes because they are examples of “white supremacy” culture that “caused significant institutional violence.” And Lincoln Elementary came under fire for allowing Planned Parenthood to pass out inappropriate sex education curriculum to fourth and fifth graders. It included lessons on multiple genders, promoted puberty blockers, and displayed drawings of pubic hair art.....

Given the district’s reputation....some parents have asked to opt-out of LGBT Pride lessons at their child’s school. But they’re not allowed... some examples include singing Pride-themed children’s songs, sharing books with transgender characters, and teaching kids to use non-gendered pronouns. Students are compelled to participate.....“The Olympia School District has no opt out process for Pride-related lessons as they are aligned with the standards that are required to be taught within our schools. OSD is committed to gender-inclusive schools, and we will follow the guidance of our governing agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)....”

This issue has come up in the past. Superintendent Patrick Murphy addressed it at a June 23, 2022, school board meeting.....“To ask students, or to ask staff to excuse students, when those types of [LGBT Pride] activities would occur, not only [is it] disruptive to the learning environment and an undue burden, I would say, on staff....But more importantly, it’s offensive and demeaning to the very students and staff who are protected… it’s in direct contrast to providing a safe environment for our learners.”

If parents pull their child out of school during lessons, it would count as an unexcused absence....

NYC repeat offender who hit Asian man with a hammer found guilty

Christian Jeffers, the 49-year-old transgender woman who was arrested for striking an Asian man with a hammer on a Manhattan subway platform last year, was found guilty on multiple charges....The charges: On Wednesday, a jury delivered a guilty verdict in less than a day after Jeffers had taken the stand one day prior in her defense. Jeffers, who previously pleaded not guilty, was found guilty of first-degree attempted assault as a hate crime, second-degree assault, second-degree menacing as a hate crime, second-degree aggravated harassment and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon....

While being arrested, Jeffers used racial slurs against Asian and Hispanic officers and also threatened to go on a killing spree, saying “By the time I get out of prison, first thing I’m going to do is get a gun and try to kill as many of you as possible.”

Criminal history: Jeffers’ rap sheet dates back to 2007 and includes 52 prior arrests, including charges of prostitution, grand larceny, public lewdness, theft of service and drug possession....Jeffers spent five years in prison for a 2015 second-degree robbery and was released on parole in June 2021.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw grills witness over failure to name study citing benefits of trans surgeries

....Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw tore into a Democrat witness Wednesday over her inability to cite a medical study that states the benefits of transgender surgeries for minors. Crenshaw’s comments came during a House Committee on Energy and Commerce hearing when he questioned Yale School of Medicine assistant professor Meredithe McNamara about his proposal to withdraw funding from certain hospitals that provide surgeries, puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones to transgender minors.

“You’ve said that we cherry-picked data. How do you mean that?” Crenshaw asked McNamara.

“So, it is very unscientific and flawed to pick a single study or a single statistic and discuss it in isolation,” she responded. “Medical experts are able to talk about all of the evidence as a whole.”

“Totally agree,” the Texas congressman told McNamara. “It’s good to look at systematic reviews, right? That’s the gold standard of evidence when you’re trying to understand whether something works or it doesn’t. The British Journal of Medicine looked at 61 systematic reviews with the conclusion that, quote, ‘There is great uncertainty about the effects of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries in young people.’ The Journal of the Endocrine Society came up with the same conclusion, even the American Academy of Pediatrics. They all cite the lack of evidence.”

“If you’re doing a therapy, and it’s, you know, temporary, fine, whatever, maybe let’s try it and see if it works,” he continued. “But when you’re talking about permanent physiological changes, do you not agree, just from an ethical standpoint, that you might want extremely strong evidence of the benefits? There’s no systematic review that states that there’s strong evidence of benefits.”

McNamara responded, “The standards of care were developed based on extensive—”

“You’re not telling me any study, don’t say ‘standards of care,'” Crenshaw interjected. “Tell me one.”

“So, um, the standards of care,” McNamara said.

“The standards of care,” Crenshaw questioned. “That’s not a journal, that’s not a study. That’s not an organization. That’s not an institution. You’re just saying words. Name one study.”

McNamara failed to name a specific study prior to Crenshaw’s time expiring.

The Children’s Hospital GME Support Reauthorization Act is a bill that must be reauthorized every five years, Crenshaw’s office noted earlier this month. The bill provides funds to train pediatric medical residents at 59 hospitals nationwide. Historically, it has helped train almost half of the nation’s general pediatric residents....This year, Crenshaw introduced the legislation with a stipulation that the program funding be banned from going to children’s hospitals that offer “gender affirming care” to minors...

The verbally impaired will find ways to make their feelings known, he assured the audience....He called it “really astonishing” how many parents over the years, in cases “where it’s very clear the kid is trans," have convinced themselves that their child’s issues around gender dysphoria and gender expression are just obsessive interests related to ASD.....

....“We can’t just say, ‘Well until you can be verbal and answer these questions as we have in this assessment packet, we can’t clear you.’ This is really discriminatory,” she added....But Ehrensaft is perhaps most famous for a 2016 talk in which she explains that pre-verbal children are capable of sending “gender messages” to signal their transgender identities. The examples she gives are of an infant boy pulling at the snaps of his onesie in order to “make a dress,” and a toddler girl pulling barrettes out of her hair as a way to demonstrate that she is a boy......
