Hawkeye21 2,388 Posted May 9, 2023 There shouldn't be many excuses for the Bears to do well this year. Fields needs to get that passing game going. This is the best roster they've had in a long time.

MDC 7,223 Posted May 9, 2023 Should’ve drafted Bryce and moved Firlds to RB where he belongs.

I think they can squeak into the playoffs but I think 8 wins is reasonable. Fields can throw the ball just fine, it's just a matter of him reading defenses quicker and having the time to do it. You guys blame all the sacks on surrounding cast but he took a ton of sacks at Ohio State with top talent. So it seems like a him problem.

They should of drafted Young and traded Fields for additional picks. Now they're stuck with a QB who will never get a 2nd contract.

You think teams in the NFL will start catching on?
GobbleDog 988 Posted May 9, 2023 Justin Fields '21) 58.9% cmp, 7 td / 10 int, 73.2 rating '22) 60.4% cmp, 17 td / 11 int, 85.2 rating He's all feet. And ankles, knees, and stuff that breaks.

I think Young may be very good but can't get over his size. They moved down grabbed a 1st next year that will probably be no worse than a mid first. And then they have their 1st which should be pretty high. Be in position to draft or move up for Williams or Maye. Of course this could all backfire if first 2 picks are teams that want the QBs. So maybe 1 in hand is worth 2 in the bush.

I do agree, his size terrifies me but he's a gazillion times more talented than Fields. To me it's worth the risk, for them.
seafoam1 2,858 Posted June 3, 2023 This is the year to judge Fields. The Bears won't wait until year 5 like the Giants did with Jones and still not know what they have. I bet Fields is top 10 QB in fantasy this year and the Bears are ready to contend with him at QB by next season. Bears win 7-9 games this year and take off next year. Fields will be the man and everyone who has been putting him down (which is just about everyone on this site) can either gloat or suck it at the end of this year. Go Bears.
