You are free to not read the narrative, look at charts and articles, and decide for yourself too.   Most of the time when people use the nebulous "they", it's in reference to their political opponents, the media, etc..

We used to at least have some respect for people who are experts in their field and turn to them for information.  Now everybody is an expert online and instead of listening to climatologists, virologists, and the like we are turning to random Tweets and politicians.   Or are you referring to a different "they"?

Charts and articles.

Fauci!!!! 😆 What an idiot follower.

When they as in the climate scientists learned how to monetize it it all became a game of scare tactics. I guarantee nothing catastrophic is going to happen in my lifetime or my sons. Yet the opposite continually tells us it’s too late if we don’t act now. Solar power scams, wind scams, oil is horrible, fracking is the devil. It’s all the same. Let’s sign a pact that says we reduce our carbon(l (something we are already regulating) but do t make china or India do it.  Allow them to continue polluting. If it’s so catastrophic then do something about that.  Meanwhile all the politicians and scientists enjoy their beachfront properties while we struggle to get a tank of gas. F them all

There is for sure a disconnect here.

I am not talking about scientists and doctors people like Fauci or the people doing the talk show circuit.   That is the problem - people do what you are doing and talk as though the 1000s of scientists in the field are doing what you describe.   Most are going about their business, doing research, publishing papers, etc.     There is actual data and science going on, then there is the b.s that you are describing.   IMO posts like yours are dangerous because they encourage people to not even bother looking.   People need to spend more time reading actual articles and data and not waiting until the couple scientists show up on Fox/CNN or social media to tell them what's going on.

Yes, I am advocating for looking at actual data and thinking for yourself.  :shocking:

I mispoke when I said article - that should have been reasearch paper or the like.   I'm not talking about articles in Time or in the news.

I do agree with the data that things are happening and I do read it

what I don’t believe or agree with is the doomsday or the solutions

example

i believe climate changes

i believe mankind has possible had an affect on that

i don’t believe the world is gonna end because of it

i don’t believe the solution is throwing tons of money at it

the bottom two make me a climate denier

f that like I said you can show me all the data in the world but if your solution is one thing but don’t apply that solution to china and India F off

Which has nothing to do with science, facts, and such.   Most of the "solutions" are from politics, but posts like yours and the other this am imo are dangerous because they drum that anti-science beat a bit too much.

cmon man, dont get into that words are dangerous, what people say on message boards affect nothing

like I said, I have never once seen a main stream report about the positive affects of CO2 on plant life and food production, I never have seen a discussion on the greening of the planet

Completely disagree when I see those attitudes IRL.   This isn't just here, there is a big shift away from science, data, and facts.  I see attitudes like yours with "all the scientists are getting rich" nonsense all the time.  As though Al Gore and the annoying Nordic teen are representative of climate scientists or something.

irrelevant, my point is when you put someone like the black lesbian (its important cause shes a black lesbian) as a press secretary, thats where the words come from, when that person is untrustworthy, everything they say makes it harder to sell

What the hell does this havee to do with me telling people to look at things themselves?  I am actively telling you NOT to listen to the person you are talking about.  Why would you turn to a press secretary for science info on an issue?

I am making a generalized statement, when you put forth a "speaker or representative" aka Al Gore, it ruins everything that comes after that

most people cant understand the data, so you can't tell people to look at things themselves.  Then the division comes cause leftist starts yelling climate change world ending sky falling blah blah, and the right is like oh jeez this again??? can you just stfu with your nonsense

Yeah. It's all based on feelers. They are wrong. Just like they were 40 years ago. "The earth will turn into a vast frozen desert."

Record cold of 51 expected today.

Breaking the record from 1891, our last global warming event

Just think ed, if we didn’t pump all that extra CO2 into the atmosphere, we could be experiencing another ice age 🤣

Wife and I stayed at her cousin's beach house last week. Friday was low 80s, nice beach day, light breeze, water was cold but not unbearable. Saturday was 30+ degrees colder, windy, and felt like November.

A guy at work today told me a friend of his went golfing in Vermont on Friday. It was 92 degrees. On Saturday, it snowed.
