Hers is a garbage argument. Leaving aside the fact that she had no standing… What would be the difference between designing a website for a gay couple vs a straight one? If you really were a wedding website designer doing a decent amount of business, you’d probably have a boilerplate, and then modify it a bit based on customer preferences, then load in the content they send you.

Listened to a podcast this weekend suggesting this is just a small step in a greater move to restrict civil rights even further, can't remember exactly why, not a lawyer.

I can imagine the designer saying the sites she writes and designs are entirely bespoke. I just don’t see how a site she’s been commissioned to write/design constitutes free speech vs. a good or service? That seems like a major stretch.

People are going to push this as far as they can get away with. How are lower courts supposed to interpret what is expression? What if I make pizza, and it offends my deeply held beliefs for straight people to eat it? Each pizza is a work of art because the pepperoni I toss on there never lands in exactly the same place twice.

What about a gay bar that wants a sign for their bar in a small town? Let’s say there’s only one sign-maker in town and they decide it offends their sensibilities to make a sign for them?

One could come up with countless examples that abuse this ruling.

How would a restauranture know that certain customers were ghey? Also, restaurants are some of the most difficult businesses to make profitable. I don't think they're going to refuse service to anybody who behaves in their establishment.

History tells us that many restaurants had zero problem refusing service to black people when it was legal.

Were I a business owner, I would accept any and all well behaved customers who chose to patronize my establishment. 

If another business owner chooses to not accept somebody's money, based on their sexual preference or political beliefs, I'd think he/she was stupid but it's his/her right to be stupid at their own expense.

As a business owner, I think refusing service to a fraction of the population is just as dumb as concentrating on a fraction of the population

I respect the "gun free zone" signs at the establishments who post them. I don't patronize them. Whether I'm carrying or not at the time. You've shown me that you don't appreciate me or my business. That's fine, there's a place a block away who does.

Well, I think he wouldn’t accept “identifying” as being a member of the flock. He would still love them of course, but he might let them know that a bigger commitment is necessary.  He did speak of a church many times. I think he was hoping people show up.

That's a common thing amongst self-proclaimed Christians. Many feel they're righteous in their beliefs. When, actually, God might disagree. I wouldn't include HT in that group. I don't think he is judgemental against an adult's chosen lifestyle. He just doesn't approve of forcing those choices on children before they have a chance to decide for themselves.
