What are we up to? 330M people in this country? No matter what, there will always be irresponsible people in this country.

And there will always be accidents. 

Many people will eat themselves into diabetes and teach their kids to eat shltty right along with them. They get fat and have poor health.

Many people drive recklessly and hurt or kill others because of it.

Many people let their kids play with fireworks and they blow up their hands. 

Many people do a lot of stupid things that hurt themselves and/or their kids in all kinds of ways.

I don't think that trying to keep people safe from themselves is ever the reason to ban things. Or there is a whole shltload of things that I could make a good argument to ban. Except for things like complex drugs that only doctors should prescribe.

And there are plenty of people that probably should never be allowed to have kids all over this country.

Yet auto accidents, which are completely avoidable with responsible driving, kill the most people.

Well we get into a little bit of “acceptable risk” as a society just driving. We have to do it.

I dont find needing to go strapped to get eggs or that my 5 year old needs security at her kindergarten class as “acceptable” but things have devolved to that point for many people. Adding guns to the equation clearly isnt working.

Until someone breaks into your home and your 5 year old is at risk because your 5 year old is at home. 

"Adding" a lot of things to the equation are all under fire if you want to take guns away. 

What if I live in a city and don't need a car? Do I care about people dying more or eggs? 

I do have a car but I'm a mile from the store and I work from home these days. So many people could live without a car. We can introduce government licensed transportation specialists and save millions of lives.

And no, I don't want that either.
