Just realized that the BMW Championship only has 50 players playing in it. St. Jude has 70 the week before. I guess we're going to have to do the St. Jude for our final tournament??

I’m good with going normal at Jude normal or draft 4 best 3 at bmw since no cut. Up to you guys.

Wyndham purse is only $7.6. It typically has a less than stellar field.

Yeah it's gotta be the one with 70 players. And even then drafting 6 guys we'll still be drafting the whole field basically.

I say we draft 6 for the BMW, which has no cut. The cut will be the tour championship.  40 guys make that.  We can score off of that.

Which one has 70? That one we draft 6 for.  Then carry those that made the cut (must have 3) to the BMW

I am not okay with drafting 66 of the 70 players and crowning a champeen. 

With no cut. We should draft 4 or 5, not 6 - Some of the guys at the top of the fedex don't give a chit how they do in this tournament.

Okay. So last year did we do the BMW which was 70 golfers? 
I thought we each drafted 6. 
Is Skids the only new addition to the league? I’m honestly asking, I don’t remember and the spreadsheet link is on my computer at home. 
That means we would have drafted 60 of 70 right?

I guess I don’t see the major difference between 60 and 66. Pretty sure all the guys will be jockeying for position and trying.

I was out of it, so probably didn't care. The extra person does matter, there is a difference between 60 and 66.  by drafting nearly everyone, there is even more luck involved.

The difference is 54 vs 66.

I still don’t see the issue mainly because these are the 70 best golfers this season according to the crooked PGA Tour . We would be drafting from the best of the best. Lower guys will be fighting like hell to make the top 50 and advance, higher up guys will be jockeying for position all the way to east lake to start as many under par as possible.

Someone is guaranteed to pick the winner. That is never the case in any other event.

Hey, it’s your show. 
 

I agree, it’s not the case in any of the other 7 events but I still feel like even 54 of 70 being drafted last year is a very good chance someone was walking away with the winner. 
 

is 66 players drafted ideal? No. But the PGGay made changes and doesn’t have a 125 event anymore. It could be argued that drastically changing to format of the final event (picking less golfers or carrying over through multiple tournaments) shouldn’t determine the edex champ either

Also since I don’t care if you think I’m a diickbag, I will point out that in the “winter meetings” thread, you posted the events for this season and listed the BMW, knowing it was 70 golfers last year and knowing we had at least 10 participants

Score is still sum of top 3.  Difference is nobody misses the cut because there isn't a cut. 

I vote for draft 4 or 5 at BMW.
