Strike 5,473 Posted August 15, 2023 Got any tricks for removing the coil packs off the spark plugs, or is brute force the only option?

SUXBNME 1,487 Posted August 16, 2023 Mostly depends on the vehicle, honestly. Spray lube and a side to side twist action before pulling up is the general rule. Also, cursing the idiot that replaced the plugs last and didn't put dielectric grease on the coils is also norm. Gimme a call

First put it to tighten (that would be left) then after you break the plug in the head, tow it to your local quick lube. Just don't tow it to me, cause I'm too old and fragile to do that kind of work anymore. hth
GutterBoy 2,899 Posted August 17, 2023 Hey sux, I caught a mouse in the minivan. I don't know how it got in, but I saw evidence of nest making one night, so I put a trap in the driver's footwell and sure enough next morning caught a mouse. I pulled the cabin filter and it had been chewed up so I replaced that, checked the engine air filter, looked good. Anything else I should check or be worried about?
