More Americans said they trust Trump, the 2024 Republican primary front-runner, than Biden to improve the economy by a 47%-36% margin. The spread is 46%-26% in Trump's favor among independent voters.

Nearly all Republicans surveyed expressed pessimism about the economy, according to the poll: 96% said it is getting worse, not better. But 76% of independents and even 34% of Democrats also said the economy is getting worse.

Kind of a loaded question.  Is there anything you could trust with Biden?

I always believe polls (with the exception of Rasmussen because I think landline phones weigh heavily towards older, conservative types.) 

So I believe this poll. It’s depressing. I am one of the 36% and I don’t think it’s a close thing. Hopefully the majority will change their mind about this. If they don’t we’re screwed.

I do not put much stock into polls.  I think they can be "managed" so as to get a desired result. 

That being said, the media that has so steadfastly propped up and protected Biden is echoing this same concern now.   They are not concerned about the pain he caused lower classes through his inflationary behaviors.....not concerned about his abscence of leadership ala Afghanistan.....not concerned about his obvious decline.....not concerned about all the unsual money coursing into his family through the fake LLC's and evidence of his close participation with his son for favors.....no......they worry he might yield power to Republicans....

I know the admin is working hard to reframe the economy, lying through their teeth at every turn.  The problem with this one is simple....you cannot lie your way through this, people are out there living in the real world every day, so the net outcome is that people just do not trust them on the economy any more. At best the Biden admin is completely inept, at worst it is criminal.

people cant afford a place to live or a car and biden is saying the econoy is great and the MSM cheers him on.  this is worse than Jimmy Carter by far.
