I saw that and it's a shame.  That place use to be one of the top destinations.  I vacationed there about 13 years ago and it was a dump.

Acapulco was huge until about 25 years ago.  The cartels are so bad now, I don’t know if cruise ships even stop. 
 

Regardless, it was amazing how quick that storm went for a tropical storm to a Category 5.

That's awful.   I actually visited Acapulco on a college trip in 2002.  It was a lot of fun and I thought it was nice outside of swimming in the ocean as waste and sewage floats by.
