What were their plans in taking over the country by "storming the capital"? You all keep saying "coup". Was the viking guy going to assume leadership and make the pregnant lady armed with a cell phone his seargent at arms and  take over the military and tell them to obey and protect the new regime?

Were they going to use their mighty cell phone rowdy community to round up usurpers?

And what deep dark designs did they have for the stolen podium and nancy pelosi's office desk?

Just how was this all logistically supposed to work once the security opened the doors for people to wander in?

The distinction, the real distinction, is that these people were protesting in support of Donald Trump.  That is the only thing.  So they have to be punished.  Had they instead been out there with BLM burning and looting, they would have been just fine.

There were 14,000 arrests made during the George Floyd protests. I don’t know of a single Geek who complained about them. But Geeks have spent years whining about the 1/6 arrests.

Arrests being the key word.  Only the worst of the worst were actually charged and prosecuted.  A couple of guys who were caught on tape burning down a Wendy's got hit with the largest sentence which was only a few months, which was about the same or even less than those who simply trespassed on Jan. 6th. 

Arson causing a couple million in damages and endangering lives = to peacefully entering the Capitol.
