Maybe. Based on what I've read, there were a number of "intelligence failures" that led to the final result. Not sure we've ever been given an explanation as to what those failures ultimately were or who was responsible. I have my suspicions, which I'm sure are 180° opposite yours.

I don’t think they let it happen, I think it got out of hand because it was a crazy and unprecedented moment in our history. Security mistakes were certainly made and perhaps some of those officers even Trump people.

It’s much easier after the fact to see where mistakes were made after a disaster occurs.

This isn’t Pelosis, or the deep state, or Joe Biden, or anyone else’s fault besides Trump. We can work back from there were mistakes or improvements can be made but this is his thing.
