If we can't agree that more education typically means higher intelligence, we won't find common ground. I haven't read it, but the LGBTQ community overall thinks highly of it (of those who have reviewed it) and online comments that I've seen from gay/lesbian teens have also been overwhelmingly favorable. IIRC he was a legacy admission (an affirmative action program of sorts) and probably wouldn't have met the academic standards for admission if not for that. I did see the one panel of dong in mouth that seems to be what righties are pretending to be outraged about. I don’t necessarily think one “graphic” pic (it wasn’t that graphic) is enough to disqualify a book from any aged minor or school library if the rest of the book serves an educational or artistic purpose. If a sex ed book included illustrations of coitus would you want that banned too? So I guess my answer is, I don’t know because I haven’t read it.
