I have seen him several times.  He is the local celebrity.  His second wife (he left her for Meg Ryan) was absolutely stunning and a very nicr well-grounded person.  The two boys he had with her were total thugs.  They would get kicked out of every school and still continue to have trouble with the law.  Zero discipline.  One was in the same class as my daughter for a couple of years  Mellencamp despised religion and of course a far-left leftist loon, which now consumes him.
