Wife told him to stay away from Jesus.   

While Jesus was sitting on the judgement seat, Pilates wife said to him, have nothing to do with that Just Man Jesus, For I have suffered many things today in a Dream because of Jesus.  Matthew 27:19.  

I have always felt a little sad for Pilate, he was in a very tough situation, and he knew Jesus was a righteous person.  But God’s will be done, and thank you Jesus Christ for dying, and Rising for us.
