Shovelhead hasn't won either. Personally, I'm interested in how often someone finishes in the top three or four, as well. Because their stats, and I'm a geek. I may see how many of the original emails I have that list that. I should at least be able to go back a ways.

Thanks for this, Vikes.  I am surprised to see I had a podium finish in 2021 and top 5 finishes in 3 out of the last 5 years.   It has mainly felt like I have been bottom of the league aside from the year I won.... which was a glorious year with, I believe FFToday taking down the IBL title and V4E winning the IBL individual title.

Yeah, 2012 was it. We (by coincidence) went all in on Peyton's first year, and it paid off big time. 

I wish we'd done a better job of keeping track of the IBL history. Too many forum deaths over the years wiped out a big chunk of the history.

might be revisionist history but I was almost sure a number of us discussed implementing a strategy to wait on QBs and pair RG3 with Peyton. I know that was my QB duo.  At the very least I feel like Peyton was a specific target for us as a team.

I'm pretty sure Peyton was actually one of our avoids (I'm almost certain I didn't want him that year) due to the uncertainty of his injury. It's just that everyone was avoiding him, and, with our standard QB Late strategy, he fell too far to ignore his upside.

At least that's my recollection. I could very well be wrong.

So... it turns out I made a mistake when posting the champions. In 2013, we actually had a tie for first. I guess Dan should have .5 titles and ICEMAN should have 3.5.

I also have 4 second place finishes on top of my 4 championships.

thats probably a better indicator.   sometimes people dont win because of dumb luck.  but if a person is consistently in the top 4 or so and never winning I'd suggest that person is just extremely unlucky.
