They could shun their sexuality and attempt to live out a false existence. Or they could kill themselves. All too often the last path was the one chosen. 
 

Today we have a much greater level of acceptance. Conservatives hate it, as seen in this forum 7 days a week. But it’s much preferable to our dark and bigoted past.
