Beyonce snubbed for her god-awful country album

Turns out that while Jay Z can buy airtime for her album he can not buy up all the votes to make country music artists like her. They beyhive is pissssed. 

 

I really thought the album was pure trash. Has nothing to do with the color of her skin. Shaboozy is black and he had one of the best songs of the year. It just really felt like the album was forced onto people. The texas holdem song was particularly bad.

Has Jay Z even put out a song in the last 5+ years?    "Put a Ring on it" still is a hit at weddings.  I'm partial to some Destiny Child's songs still.   Bootylicious for sure.

Because the implication is that if you do not like the album you MUST be racist. I was clarifying that this is not the case and gave an example country music that I do like created by black artists.

I think it's a great album, and it's really not a country album. It has some country-like songs on it, but I wouldn't call it a country album, you racist fock.

Also, I kinda like Beyonce's version of Jolene.  I like when artists take risks on remakes.  She changed the lyrics from "pleading" to "telling" Jolene not to take him, giving the singer more confidence/dominance than the original.  Many will argue that that is not true to the song, and I don't disagree, but I appreciate the artistic interpretation.

As a comparison, the recent remake of Fast Cars is dog shiot.  It's the same exact song, sang by a dood with a country twang.  Yay.

The only good thing to come out of that song is that Tracy Chapman FINALLY got the attention that song deserves.

I think she did it to try and remain more relevant with the younger crowd. There are so many influencers being discovered on the socials and I bet Queen B knows that there's someone else out there that is better than her. 

Same with J Lo. She keeps trying to do concerts, did that streaming movie, and it's all been terrible. They need to admit that they are just part of an older crowd of entertainers that a lot of people don't care to see anymore.
