I was going to point out that the guy that threatened arrest of the helicopter pilot was actually assistant fire chief on a power trip, but then I saw who posted this and realized that the next step would be some article being posted about not following a fire code somewhere and this somehow leading to an arrest and therefore an assistant fire chief is equal to local law enforcement. "See they enforce local laws!!!"

So, my fellow geeks, I have decided to save us all some time and point out again that this guy is less serious than tickle me elmo.

You don’t think an assistant fire chief counts as law enforcement?  The town manager even backed him up after the fact.

For the record, I think the assistant fire chief was in the wrong, and I agree he was just on a power trip.  When that incident came up previously, it was used as evidence of “see they (with they being implied as state or federal government) are blocking volunteer efforts!”  My point was that that decision had nothing to do with state or federal direction, glad we agree!
